Guest guest
Hi, I am debating the Raw Food lifestyle. I am trying to lose weight and have tried everything (but this). The high protein diets seem to work the best for me, but I have little kids and it's hard to not have cravings with the stuff they are eating. At least with this, they can be eating right along with me because they love fruits. Someone please email me if they have lost weight eating this way. Thank you... Guest guest
Actually I don't personally know of anyone who went on the raw food diet and didn't lose weight. You can eat as much as you want but you will still lose weight. We have so many toxins stored in our bodies after years of abuse. These toxins get stored in our fat cells. When you go raw your body starts cleaning house and getting rid of these toxic fat cells. Heck I lost 14 pounds and people thought I was thin to begin with. I have all my muscle but I've lost a lot of unecessary fat and so I look even more thin. So don't worry you'll only be losing fats and toxins and this will happen no matter how much you eat. As long as you stick to raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I've have met over 100 people who have lost weight on the raw diet. Good luck, Roger Haeske P.S. Guest guest
Going raw food changes your whole metabolism. Your fat structure changes as does your muscle structure. Outsiders are so sceptical. They do nor really grasp the advantages of eating as millions of years of evolution have refined the human digestion to process. We munch and digest simple fruits green leaves and vegetable fats with consummate ease and thus fed are left with neither hunger nor craving nor any other feared deficit. I use3d to waste my time detecting the quality of the ingredients in a sauce Béarnaise as well as the consistency, fragrance, texture, succulence, resonances etc. but really on the raw food diet, I am on a much higher plane. It takes months and months to make the transition into raw food eating but in nourishment terms there is no truer path than to eat raw food. Dare I eve n posit the notion that the distinction between eating raw food and a religion is that with a religion there has to be a commitment to the faith whereas with the raw food syndrome, the benefits flood in daily no matter what you believe. Guest guest
Hi Erin, and welcome to the group.....Well, I'm happy to see your husband is supportive. I guess the initial reaction to becoming vegan is just that.....I'll keep my fingers crossed in hopes he does come around..... PJ Hi all! Just a little note to introduce myself. My name is Erin and I've recently become vegan (I immediately converted after reading about factory farming and industrial slaughter). I work in the film industry and at a newspaper in the Los Angeles area. My husband is being supportive about my decision, but I think he thinks I've totally lost it. I think he'll come around in time - he has no idea how yummy veggie "meats" can be.That's all of my rambling for now - peace and blessings to all!
