Guest guest
I have a book on Natural Hygiene that I can't remember the name, but I found lots of links from google.com. Here's the page that came up http://www.google.com/search?hl=en & q=natural+hygiene But, it's basically an all raw diet-no meats & no grains I believe. It's something one would have to wean onto. Fred, just a warning against all the protein bars and powered protein. They are bad point blank. Most are loaded with artificial sweetners, glycerine and just junk. I eat 1/2 a protein bar and my mouth becomes full of cankers. Once you really-I mean really detox, your body has a hard time with junk food and immediately tries to eliminate it. Guest guest
I thought, since this is a raw food list, that we were all on or aspired to a raw vegan diet. I was quite surprised by a post on the virtues of a high protein diet and another suggesting meats. We seem to be a diverse group. Why would a meat eater join this group?...a paleo diet with raw meats? Guest guest
That is a good point there. :-) I was simply commenting on the weight loss aspect truthfully. There are so many healthy ways to get the added protein in your diet, without meat of course, that it makes the diet sustainable (Nuts or soy come to mind). I just could not figure out why someone would need to get colonics on a regular basis, or for any reason at all actually. The only people I know that wanted to get colonics wanted to do so for weight loss purposes. - " V & LP " <res0illx <rawfood > Friday, April 19, 2002 9:53 AM RE: [Raw Food] Natural Hygiene > I thought, since this is a raw > food list, that we were all on > or aspired to a raw vegan > diet. Guest guest
Some people do have a problem with chronic constipation and seek relief from colonics. Everyone I've known who takes colonics regularly either ate a really bad diet of mostly meat, fried foods, and sugar or they were health-conscious people who didn't trust the body to properly cleanse itself when it is treated to proper nutrition. I haven't tried them, myself, and don't think I ever would, but I'm sure taking the gunk out with a colonic can't be any less healthy than the behaviors that put the gunk there in the first place. I guess we all just have to study and find the path we trust for ourselves. Guest guest
What about those who believe in a mostly raw diet. I eat only specific meats in small portions just a couple times/week. Does that make me bad?? If I could always eat raw I would, but if I don't have a balance in my life, I end up going off the deep end. It's mental I suppose, but it will not change for me.
