Guest guest
I have been a vegetarian for a year and at this point am just tired of eating the same cooked foods. I have set the date of May to begin eating primarily raw foods. I have a significant amount of weight to lose. I've lost 30 lbs. in the year that I've been a vegan. I still have around 125 lbs. to lose. Has anyone here lost a large amount of weight eating this way? Is olive oil or any other kind of oil ok to eat when eating a raw diet? With so much more to lose it is very easy to get discouraged and give up but I want the energy and stamina that go with eating this way. Please respond with tips and information on losing weight this way? Ann

My hubby and I eat pretty much anything we want as long as its Raw. We don't count fat grams or anything--we eat avacados, olive oil, nuts, lots of fruit and big green salads. I still have about 80-90 more pounds to lose--so, when I'm finished I will have shed a whopping 180-190 pounds. I also began taking a beginners yoga class once a week and I do yoga on my own during the week. When I first went Vegan--I was so fat I couldn't do much of anything! Guest guest
Ann Olive oils is fine but there are those who say it is better to eat the olives raw. That means eating quite lot of them which I often do. I had some cooked vegetables in a vegan restaurant to please someone and felt lousy afterwards. On the raw diet even simple raw food gets interesting! Good luck Peter Christie Burlison [cutiechrissie] 29 April 2002 00:46 rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Weight Loss, Will this cause? --- " I have been a vegetarian for a year and at this point am just tired >of eating the same cooked foods. Guest guest
Once in a while I eat cooked foods and once your body gets used to raw-boy do you notice the difference. Pure cold-pressed oils, raw nuts and avocados are wonderful for you and do not cause weight gain. If you have the opportunity to purchase a juicer, do it. Juicing veggies and fruits is like pure medicine to the body. It will help to heal ailments and speed up your fat loss. I don't have that much weight to lose but do suffer from an underactive thyroid. I gain weight with ease. The raw diet and juice therapy allows me to keep my weight down and is healing my thyroid gland. Guest guest
I have read so many testimonies here and there, about people being healed of things.Everything from fibromyalgia,Brights disease, and Crohn's disease. At this point I don't know of anything I need to be healed of,however,I DO KNOW I feel great doing raw foods. This is the best thing that could ever happen to me,and I cannot help but be grateful to God that I found out about it.And on the internet,no less! rawfood, Regina DeLuca <regdeluca> wrote: > Once in a while I eat cooked foods and once your body > gets used to raw-boy do you notice the difference. > Pure cold-pressed oils, raw nuts and avocados are > wonderful for you and do not cause weight gain. Guest guest
On the raw diet even > simple raw food gets interesting! > > Good luck > > Peter I agree,Peter.Even simple food gets interesting!I awake in the morning with a sense of enthusiasm wondering, which fruits will I eat this morning, and then later I am amazed at how easy it is to make vegetables tantalizing to the palate. It is just astonishing how good it tastes and how great it feels. Now I know why I never really learned much about SAD cooking.I wasn't meant to. > > > > Christie Burlison [cutiechrissie@h...] > 29 April 2002 00:46 > rawfood > Re: [Raw Food] Weight Loss, Will this cause? > > > --- " I have been a vegetarian for a year and at this point am just tired > >of eating the same cooked foods. Guest guest
That's wonderful! I'm glad you found raw living! Now, if we all tell two friends, and they tell two friends about it, we could start a raw revolution! Oops, maybe I shouldn't use the word revolution...we've heard that word enough lately!!
