Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a question regarding the raw foods diet and feeding infants. Are there any good books or websites regarding this information? I was wondering about weaning an infant off breastmilk and what should you feed him. Thanks for your input, Sandy
Guest guest
Hello Sandy, Breastfeed as long as possible. When you wean don't feed baby cow's milk. See http://members.tripod.com/~josquin/milk.htm or www.nomilk.com, or www.notmilk.com. Good reading. My child is now 4 1/2 years old and never had cow's milk. He is just fine. Actually he is a lot healthier than other children I know. No sinus problems, no ear infections with tubes in the ears. Just a healthly and active little boy. Look into making nut milks for baby. Make your own raw fruit " mashes " in your food processor. Add some vegetables in there too. I think you want to stay away from any starch like rice or honey until baby is more than 1 or 2 years old. " Raw Kids " book is out there but I THINK it's for changing your older kids to a raw food diet but I may be wrong on that. Check it out. -OrionsDad
