Our group permits posting by members without review by moderator so it is to be expected that we will have our share of spam. If spam or other objectional material continues to be posted and becomes a problem I'll change the group to allow only posts that have been " reviewed " by moderator. Not only is there advertising imbedded in the posts but between messages! They also have started to " float " the ads across the screen. Guest guest Posted July 3, 2002 Report Share Posted July 3, 2002 A solution for Spam. Make the settings in your group so that any new member's messages must be approved before they can be put up. This way you don't have to moderate all the members, just the new ones that either don't know the rules or would like to violate them even if they new the rules. I saved myself a lot of hassle in my groups by doing that. I had many messages that I did not want to see posted in my group. So they never saw the light of day. I think you have to go to your group settings tab and then play around with the membership options. is slow right now so I'm having a problem viewing my own groups to confirm the exact steps for this.
