Greetings everyone,

I haven't posted for awhile because of moving, etc. but I am looking

for the name of the good rawfood uncookbook that I believe was

mentioned once before. I have the Raw Uncookbook by Juliano but there

is another one that I want to get.

Boy, I sure love the fresh veggies from the farmers' market here in

central Minnesota. There are chemical- and pesticide-free farmers

there and oh, so good.

Blessings,

Marlene

than Juliano's Raw

Hi Marlene,

I live in MN too and love the farmer's market. I just tried it last

week; for some reason I thought it would be more expensive?!?

Obviously I wasn't thinking; without the retailer markup I was able

to get three times as many veggies as at the co-op for the same

price. Also, my girlfriend thinks the flavor of the produce is just

out of this world. I guess even at the co-op things lose a little of

their flavor from sitting around too long.

If you ever make it to the Twin Cities, I urge you to try Ecopolitan,

the raw restaurant. Everything is organic down to the cloth napkins,

and they even have air filters so that the interior air will be more

pure than outside in the city. The only cooked things they offer are

herbal tea and toasted walnuts on about two of their dishes, and

these are clearly marked as such. And for those of you " advanced " raw

foodists, they have a flexible salad on the menu that you could

tailor and simplify, and notes on the menu that any dish can be

modified according to dietary needs. They are fantastic! A little

pricy, of course, so for special occasions only, but definitely worth

it for the quality.

-Hi Carol, It's great hearing from another Minnesotan. Thanks for the

tip on the raw food restaurant.
