Guest guest
I need help getting started with sprouting. Though I have eaten organic food the past 27 years, I have never sprouted my own. How do I get started? What are the best sprouts for a beginner in raw food eating? Thanks.

Here are a couple of the many sites that sell it. I bought mine from Natural Ideas. http://www.sproutpeople.com/devices/ez/easysprout.html http://www.natural-ideas.com/easysprouter.htm I can't help you with your second question, because the only thing I sprout for myself is Alfalfa. Mostly, I sprout for my parrots. I use a sprout mix that has about 20 different seeds in it for them. ===== LadyJane and: Mathesar, Commanding Quaker Parrot in Charge The Princess Snowbird, 'Brella 'Too Gilbert, the finally arrived Loveboid Taz, the 19 lb. Guest guest
Jean, Sometimes I sprout mung beans. I soak them in water for 12 hours and then splash water over them about three times a day. I put a lid on them which keeps the air humid and in a couple of days they are ready. I gather the optimal length is about an inch and a quarter or is a 1cm and a quarter? Almost any seed will sprout and those that do not are usually heat treated and so they are not raw anyway.
