Hi,

Was wondering how do I remind myself that fat cravings are my body's

way of working off fat. For some reason I am still stuck in a fat

craving = must eat fat mode. It is rather frustrating as most fat

foods are cooked. Yesterday was the first time in 3 months I hit

50%, today I managed to grab a couple of avos and a lot of peanuts

instead but I still felt out of control. I want to work through

this, not eat through it. How does everyone else manage?

Hi,

I use bananas to help me through those low points because they are very

rich compared to other fruits and they are sweet as well. I often end up

eating 5 to 7 bananas when I'm going through a low point or my body is

demanding it. It doesn't happen often.

I also use medjool dates, not for the sugar, but also because they are

rich too. I don't soak them when I'm trying to fight a craving. I usually

eat about 2 or 3.

Wendy,

Eat green leaves. Lots. Peanuts are not raw so stop them.

Your craving is based on addiction which will leave you. It used to be

said that the most addictive substance on the planet was nicotine. Now I

am truly convinced that cooked food is even worse. Almost nobody knows

it!

The addiction will leave you and as David Wolfe says the best medicine

for all addictions is green leaves.

Ooh, I hadn't heard that fat cravings were our body's

way of working off fat. I like that. Maybe it will

help me to remind myself of that!

I eat raw nuts, raw cheese and avocados when I have

fat cravings. Maybe I should cut down!

Wendy,

first CONGRATULATIONS to you for understanding that fat cravings are

your body's way of working off the fat ;-)

that is exactly what is happening.

don't get down on yourself girl... I know exactly what you are going

through. my first 30 days on raw I was eating avos and bananas and

nuts like they were going out of style.

i believe that our body is actually 'telling' us what to eat too.. so

you may need these things at this time.

i wouldn't be concerned unless this is something you see sticking

with you for over 30 days or so.

another tip.. yoga.. i do yoga stretches when i get the 'cravings'

and just the breathing and the stretching takes my mind off of it. ;-)

hope this helps dear. ;-)

best wishes!

I got rid of all my cravings for fatty foods such as sweets, bread, etc.

real easily using flax seed oil. I tablespoon a day did it.

Better people than me think that raw nuts, raw cheese and avocados are a

questionable solution to fat craving. Mixing the whole lot together

sounds bad chemistry. Fat craving is a function of fat withdrawal. Still

there are different kinds of fats.

Never mind all that. The way to hit fats is to go in the opposite

direction. Fats and sugar are the worst possible route to take. The

opposite end of the spectrum is to believe that green is good. From

your position, such counsel probably seems suspect or even flight of

fancy.

As they say in mafia movies " Trust me " or press me to justify such

sweeping statements.

You are on the right track.

What i've been doing against fat cravings is just fasting... about one week, so

my body leaves every bad thing inside and i got a lot of positive energy. Then I

could go back on a " normal diet " ... fresh raw fruits :)

Coming from the point zero is the best experience i've done.

Not everybody has that kind of fortitude. Certainly not myself. My hats off

to you if all you have to do to stop fat cravings is just fast.

Excellent move, just make sure you come off the fast slowly. Ideally

juice

for a day or so at least on the way out.

Hi everyone,

I want to thank you all for your wonderful support. I have been

given so many great idea to battle the fat cravings! I would love a

broccoli juice recipe. I think I have discovered what caused the

sudden need for fat. I began adding weight lifting to my exercise

routine and didn't account for extra needs in my diet. That being

said, I upped my fruit and salad intake and the cravings have gone.

Thanks

Nathalie,

If you cam off a fast into a full three course meal, there is fair

chance you could kill yourself. As I come off I tend to nibble a little

and often but even then sparingly. I do that because somewhere I read it

is the right approach. I think that if you weight your new diet on the

green side and eats lots of celery the cravings will be much reduced.
