Guest guest
I have a neighbor who has had heart surgery and has been on a non- carb diet--not raw. He still is not feeling well. His blood pressure has dropped dramatically. I'm new to raw food and was trying to explain the raw food lifestyle to him. My question is, " Would being on a raw food diet be beneficial to someone with heart problems? " I'm trying to be raw not for health reasons, but because I believe in the whole concept of this way of living-- eating food in a purer form. Guest guest
If the food were vegan, the answer is a huge, resounding yes. A low-carb approach is one of the worst things he can be doing for himself. Guest guest
I am reversing my heart disease with a raw food diet. Exercise is necessary too. Guest guest
Joyce What gets people into heart disease just needs to be reversed. It is simple to say and a lot tougher to do. All the addictions need to be jettisoned including cooked food! Good to start with a water fast as this thins the blood. It will take a few months to make all the changes. The body goes through a transformation. If your friend wants to know more he can contact me directly as heart disease is slightly off topic for this forum and there is quite a lot to say. Guest guest
Hi, My experience with raw foods has helped my heart rhythm return to normal without medication. I have been raw 6 months and I'm not 100% raw. I am also able to exercise at high performance levels now. Before raw, I couldn t even climb a flight of stairs.
