Hi Rusty,

Thanks for your reply for taking the psyllium. I am resending this in case it

was missed in the last email.

I prefer a combination tea of Dandelion root and Milk thistle seed, to both

cleanse the liver and restore optimum liver function. Just clean the roots and

chop them fine berfore making the tea.

When the root is chopped fine, how much root do you use to a cup of tea or does

it matter? If using the MIlk thistle seed with it, what's the ratio for that?

For how many days would you drink this and how many cups a day?

Judith: Many on this group are raw food purists and therefore the boiling is

out. I prefer to chew on the root, but if you must make a tea, just pour

boiling water over it and let steep. You might want to add a squeeze of

lemon.

Doesn't really matter as the dandelion is a gentle cleanser. I use about a

tespoonful of chopped root. Dandelion tea is good by itself and because milk

thistle seed is really hard shelled you might want to just buy some milk

thitsle in caps, and follow the directions on the bottle.

Thank you for the info, is making sun-tea ok?

Today is my first day (4/29/03) and it is getting harder as the day goes

on..any words of encouragement? You really don't realize how " addicted " or

used to cooked foods you are till you delete them from your daily food

intake.

Thanks again, Judith

Hi, Judith.....any effort you make to break the addiction to cooked food

will be rewarded. I've gotten to where I can't stand cooked food anymore.

Please keep us posted as to your progress and if you have any favorite raw

food recipes, I'd love to learn about them. It was Ray Kent in Texas who

woke me up years ago to the destructive practice of having to cook

everything before eating it. Warmest regards.......Betsy

Thank you Betsy...it is 6:05pm and all well so far, except husband wants to

eat out after we leave the office...I will find SOMETHING !!! I don't care

if it is plain lettuce, I will get through this 1st day!

When I stopped eating meat years ago, it was amazing how foul hamburger

could smell!

Thanks again, Judy

Hi, Judy.....I too, have a " cooked food husband " . I admire your " damn the

torpedos " attitude. It's nice to have a raw food support group like this.

Blessings to you and thanks.......Betsy
