Am fascinated to read about the amino acid deficiencies which are

possible.

Would like to have such a test myself. EAV tests however get a very bad

press.

Where do I set about such tests if general medical practitioners are so

scathing in the need for any such tests?

Mostly from symptoms and dietary history and experimentation. I also

took EAV tests. The health problems related to amino acid deficincies

are well established. When I added the amino acids that I suspected I

was deficient in, it made huge changes in my health. For instance, if

your liver isn't making enough tyrosine (not in plants) than you

won't make enough dopamine because tyrosine is the precurser for

dopamine. Low dopamine leads to depression, low drive, foggy brain,

etc. When I added tyrosine, it was light a light switch was turned on.

At first I took it everyday, but now that my deficiency is corrected,

I only have to take it once a week and the benfits hold. Taurine was

another big one I was deficient in. Taurine deficiencies

result in your liver not being able to clear toxins correctly. This

leads to multiople chemical sensitivities. My MCS got much better

after adding taurine to my diet.

Proline was another one. According to Dr. Slagle, most people with

arthritis and other chronic health problems have low proline. Prolin

eis necessary for building cartilage. Proline helped my neck

arthritis heal. I had it for years before now.

> (And why don't doctors routinely test for this sort of thing?)

Honestly. I do not know! Most doctors just prescribe drugs to deal

with symptoms. Naturopaths understand the role of deficincies in

disease and they test for deficiencies.

Hi, I'm new to the group. I have to agree with Betsy. Over the last 15

years I have had many dealing with doctors due to cancer and other health

problems. Doctors have been told that diet isn't worth checking into for

cures. Diet may help prevent but not cure. I don't know if I blame doctors

or the schools that are training them. But they have been programed to rely

on drugs. And as the old saying goes...the drug companies get richer and the

people get poorer, health that is. I have found that it is up to each

individual to research treatment for themselves, and educate their doctor. I

have learned this the hard way.

Theirs plenty of info on the internet. Just do a search for amino

acids and deficiencies.

The raw food diet, chiropractors, etc get bad press too. Biomeridian

is supposed to be one of the best ones. I wouldn't trust EAV tests

alone. They are an indicator that shouldn't be relied on 100%/

Deficiencies can usually be deduced by studying symptoms and dietary

history. Then if you suspect a deficiency you can experiment by

taking the suspected amino acid. If your health problem improves,

then you were probably right. For instance: I had Multiple chem

sensitivities, jaundice, liver problems, the liver manufactures

taurine, I was vegan for 3 years, vegans have 25% less taurine in

their bodies according to studies, low taurine can cause jaundice and

multiple chem sensitivities. I took taurine and I got much better.

Its like being a detective.

I'm not sure what you mean " set about " ? General medicinal practioners

have scathing things to say about a lot of alternative medicine. They

often ignore diet and just prescribe drugs.

Best Wishes,

Pete

Betsy,

I have to agree as one who survived a liver transplant two years ago. From

the day I walked out of that hospital, my first goal was getting off the

prednisone ASAP and weaning off the drugs within one year. I accomplished

both in six months on my own with half doses of everything against the

doctors' approval. Eventually I showed them another program in the country

using the six month shut off period and finally they came around. I had to

teach them. Now it's common practice to cut off the prednisone at six months

or less, depending of course, on the condition of the transplant patient.

I found that the doctors were great at the initial diagnosis and the final

surgery but fell short on long term maintenance. This is a common challenge

among western trained doctors to be unable to " see " the patient and drop

them into the process. They get away with it unless they are " listening " or

have been trained outside the box. I am convinced every challenge I

encountered was the result of cooked foods and a bad diet anyway..

We HAVE to be smart because it comes down to is each one of doing the

research and trusting our own intuition about what our bodies want and

require. I don't think it's about doctors or the drug companies, but more

about us listening to what they are trying to program us with. Fast foods,

drugs that " instantly " mask " the symptoms and make us feel better, etc.

Regards,

Jess

Hi all, hi Jackie

I am new to this list and I found this mail in the archive. I have

got problems with menstruation as well, haven't had my period for some

years. For me it is a huge problem cause I want to have a baby.

I would like to know how you got your menstruation back?

What do you mean by " extremly underweight " ?

Is there anybody else who has any experience with the feminin cycle,

fertility and raw food?

Are there special remedies, herbs, raw food that inhances fertility or

helps the body producing more oestrogenes.

Any thoughts and idees are greatly appreciated

Ina;

I don't know how long you have been raw, if you are transitioning or

menstruation. I copied it into my computer and would be glad to email

Hi Doug,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Now, I'm not tranditioning, I'm raw foodist for almost 4 years and

vegetarian for 25 jears. I mention it because often people think not

eating meat and fish is the reason why I dont menstruate. Is it true

that vegetarian woman are more likely to have problems with fertility?

Yes, I would really like to read the article by Victoras Kulvinskas. My

adress: ina.warburg

Btw, I don't know about any relation to Otto Warburg. Have to ask my

husband.

Tks very much for your help
