Guest guest
I purchased coconut butter from the rawlife.com website because they say " It's more delicate, pristine, smells nicer, softens more quickly, does not need refrigeration nor dark jars because it is so pure... " I just wondered whether there were any specific recommendations from Pete or anyonw who regularly consumes it. Pete: do you take it at the same as your fruits or just after or does it matter? Some personal specifics on the most favorable time to take it, as well as your opinion as to whether this matters at all, being an " exception " oil, as you say. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi Miko, I get mine from http://www.coconutoil-online.com I 'm not sure but I think that is the kind rawlife.com sells. The kind from rawfood.com has been heated and tastes weird IMO. The kind I get is centrifugaly seperated and never heated. It tastes like coconuts. Its also cheaper than anywhere else. I usually take it by itself but I have taken it right before or after fruit. It doesn't seem to cause me any probelms when eaten with fruit unlike other fats. I just take 1-2 tablespoons in the morning and then around noon, and then afternoon, and then evening. It keeps my blood sugar level all day. Guest guest
Aloha all, I got mine from eatraw.com. I'll check out the price at coconut-oil.com. I found eatraw's price on black sesame butter is high. Jason at premiereorganics.com has the same and at a much better price, also almond butter, all organic, raw, really good too! Thanks for all the info on coconut oil (they call it butter at eatraw). I've been taking it by itself or right before a veggie meal. Am wondering if anyone knows about the quality of the eatraw oil, it tastes great, just like coconut. Thanks! Aloha, Vicki
Guest guest
Thanks so much. Wow, you have saved me much in sharing this website. Also, I was half-hearted about taking the coconut oil. I have understood from what you have said that consuming this daily does not restrict one from avocados and other fats? Also, Vicki, thanks for your website links. Guest guest
Hi Miko, I have understood from what > you have said that consuming this daily does not restrict one from avocados > and other fats? Glad I could help. It does up to a point. Now I can eat 2-3 avocodos at one time with no significant energy lull like before I started eating coconut oil. It definitely counteracts the insulin resistance brought on by eating polyunsaterated fats (for me anyways) Best Wishes, Pete > > Also, Vicki, thanks for your website links. > > Miko > > ----Original Message Follows---- > alreadyherenow <no_reply > > rawfood > rawfood > [Raw Food] Re: Coconut butter and where to buy > Thu, 15 May 2003 17:09:25 -0000 > > Hi Miko, > I get mine from http://www.coconutoil-online.com > > I 'm not sure but I think that is the kind rawlife.com sells.
