Although most of the foods contain good water content you still need to hydrate even more in this toxic world. I drink a gallon a day to FLUSH my system. I never feel thirsty either and most people don't, hence dehydration, which is a big problem here in the US. Look at everyones hair and skin to understand. Guest guest
Thank you Jane for your responce I have come across a number of people who will say they do not drink water because they feel they get enough from foods. The water in foods is there to process that food threw out the body it will not help flush the body of toxins the way pure wqter will. I love water and how clean it makes me feel Water is my number one nutrient for my body and I am lucky enough to have a Bio Chemest here in Sarasota who has done extensive studies on water and has made available to me the most pure living water available. This water has made more a differance in my life than any thing else I have done in the 14 years of being Raw..You need good pure living water for the body to funtion properly at all levels. Guest guest
Jane What signs of dehydration should I be looking for in my skin and hair? Guest guest
I agree here also, Jane. The last sign of needing water is thirst. You are already well dehydrated, by that time. Herbal teas and such are no substitute for pure water they dehydrate the body. A rule of thumb is divide your body weight by two, convert that number to ounces, and drink that much in pure, clear water. A good book on this is Dr. Batmanghelidj's " Your body's many cries for water. " Rob I never feel thirsty either and most people > don't, hence dehydration, which is a big problem here in the US. Guest guest
Everyone's body is different just like our lives and exercise is different and we live in different climates. I drink water, and I believe it is important. But I do think you can drink too much water, if you are just drinking water for drinking waters sake. I drink when I am thirsty, right now it is warm here and I am drinking more than usual. I do think that raw foodists need to drink less water than SAD people
