Guest guest
What puts me off the stuff is that every time I drink it, in social circumstances, I find myself rushing to urinate annoyingly quickly! It's the inconvenience rather than any doctrine or prejudice, Weird! Guest guest
Hi Janet, I don't know about Jenny, but the reason I don't drink much water is because I don't feel the need to. My diet is high in fruits and vegetables. I get the absolute best quality of water from them. If it is a very hot day, I may need to drink some water. Otherwise I only add a small amount of water to my banana smoothies. If I eat a young coconut there is a lot of water in it. Also I don't add any kind of sea salt to my diet. Once you stop using salt, your need for water goes down tremendously. There is plenty of organic sodium in vegetables. The water in fruits and vegetables is naturally distilled and is also more vibrant. Dr. Cousens talks about the different forms of water in his book Conscious Eating. There are drops you can add to the water to make it structured. This means the surface tension of the water is reduced and it is more healthy in many ways. The actual chemical bond of the atoms changes slightly in angle. When you distill water you kill the structure of it. That is why it is good to add lemon or leave your glass of distilled water out in the sun to help give it back some structure. The water in fruit is supposedly distilled and structured at the same time. Personally I hate the taste and feel of water distilled by man. There is something wrong with it and my body can feel it. So I would always try to restructure the water before drinking distilled. I never feel that problem with the water from fruits and veggies. By the way you can certainly overdo it on water. People have died from drinking too much water. Too much of anything can be deadly. If I drink too much I feel like I am water logged. Dr. Mercola had an article about certain people in the military dieing from drinking too much water. It somehow interferes with the proper operation of your body. Use your intuition to tell you how much water to consume. You can also tell if you are well hydrated if you don't have sock lines. I wear socks that tend to leave marks on my shins. If I really have a lot of fluid it won't leave the sock marks. Personally I feel better at a level of hydration where I have those sock marks. But it is amazing when I have a lot of fluids those marks go away. Roger Have you tried the Raw Diet many times but failed to stick with it? That's interesting about the sock marks! I drink several glasses of water daily - and I do eat a diet high in fruits and greens. But whenever I don't drink the extra water, I notice my voice become raspy and I have to " clear " my voice a lot when speaking, which is annoying. When I drink sufficient water, that problem vanishes. You did mention that you don't add salt to your diet. I do confess to a weakness for herb seasoning salt (Herbamare - it's wonderful!), which I use on my avocados, tomatoes and cucumbers.
