Hello Folks,

Just wondering if any of you ever had problems with staying in the sun.

I have some friends who can’t tolerate the sun because they get itchy

rashes. They are oriental and don’t eat raw. They are thin but all I can

tell you is I ate Dim Sum with them many years ago. They eat a fairly

bad diet.

Has anyone here had that problem or do you know someone else who had

that problem? Did switching to raw foods help you with it? What do you

think is really causing the problem?

Thanks, Roger

The sun is the best healing instrument, so if someone has a reaction, many times

it's due to poisons being drawn to the surface for cleansing. But also, too much

sun is harmfull, so there has to be a balance.

Oh, yes. We need sunlight to survive. Overdoing it is a problem for sure.

To hear the skin cancer announcements on TV, one would think that the sun is

an enemy but they are not telling the whole story. Not enough sun exposure

can certainly produce problems of its own. Betsy

[RH] Frank, I agree with you about the sun. These people get reactions

to very little sunlight. They are not albinos. I think they should take

more sun and start eating raw. But people don't want to know about that

until it is a major problem. They don't realize the importance of

regular sunlight. When I went 100% raw I really started wanting to be in

the sun all the time.

The symptoms spoken of in the original e-mail - isn't that what we would

call " sun poisoning " ? I know that doesn't answer anyone's question, but if

someone wanted to look it up somewhere, I believe the correct nomenclature

would be sun poisoning. I'm fair-skinned and I always got a sunburn; I

never got sun poisoning.

BUT HERE'S SOMETHING INTERESTING!

(I'm 55 years old). I've had on both hands a few " skin cancer "

spots/lesions/whatever for a number of years. Also, I have one on my temple

for just about that long, too. SINCE GOING MOSTLY LIVE/RAW, vegan, and

juicing (including wheatgrass), the lesions on the hands are all but gone -

and just over the past couple of weeks! They've been there for years.

Also, the spot near my temple is diminishing substantially in size and

texture.

This diet is AMAZING!

Actually they are so-called allergic to the sun. It takes very little

exposure for them to get this itchy feeling. It certainly isn’t sun

poisoning.

I’m glad to see you are doing so well with the raw diet. It is amazing

what our bodies can do if we give them the rest they need to heal. I

know of another person who’s skin cancer just pealed off while eating a

raw diet and sunning himself daily. I think he spent at least 4 to 6

hours per day in the sun. So this helped heal his cancer as opposed to

making it worse.

Hi Roger,

My sister gets a light rash sometimes when she is exposed to sun for too

long. We tried sunblock but she thinks the sunblock aggravates her condition.

I noticed that the rash looks like the same rash she had when she got a case

of impetigo that was caused by a bug bite. It was healed with antibiotics but

maybe the 'disease' never truly went away.

So maybe a raw diet would help if they avoid the sun early on and gradually

build exposure later.
