Guest guest
Donna, I am very happy with my Champion juicer. A question: I have heard several people lately say that they force themselves to eat in the morning to get their metabolism going so that their body does not go into 'starvation mode'. I was wondering, how long of a fast would it usually take for the body to do this? Surely after not eating for 8-12 hours the body is still using reserves quite happily? Thanks, ~ Annette
Guest guest
Annette, Frederic Patenaude in his Raw Secrets speaks at length on your subject. He advise strongly in favour of not eating until true hunger sets in. There is false hunger. He says most people do not know what true hunger is and feed on false hunger. I suspect he might advise you not to worry too much about going into a fast although as I recall he does not address your question. A fast may be what your body needs anyway. Dare I confess that my first action on waking is to eat a lot of fruit? Guest guest
I second the champion, I did some research and it fit my needs and price range best. Guest guest
Good for you Peter, fruit is what I want in the morning too. My hardest times are when I am stressed at work (very often lately) and in the evenings. Guest guest
I always have fruit for breakfast too. I can't eat as soon as I get up, but after a little while I usually start wanting some fruit. Love shell.
