fruit in morning, juicer & eating

I also have a Champion juicer. In addition to my Vita-Mix (which I also

love), I have tried 2 other juicers in the past. Both were a pain to clean

up afterward. The Champion juicer is fairly easy to clean up. I have been

enjoying carrot/apple juice the past few days.

I also only eat fruit in the morning. I actually don't eat anything other

than fruit until I have my main meal of the day, which is about 4:45 p.m.

But I, too don't eat when I first get up. I feel the urge to drink several

glasses of water before I ever start eating for the day. I am thirsty and

since I don't drink with meals, I want to be sure I am fully hydrated before

starting to eat.

Are there others on this list that don't drink with meals? I normally would

wait about 30 minutes after eating fruit to drink or at least 2 hours after

a vegetable meal. It works for me.

Hi Viveka,

I don't drink with meals much, just because we never did when growing up

and I can't get used to it. I tend to drink between meals.

What is a vitamix? Is it a food processor and why is it so good? You're

not the first person I've heard recommend it.

Love Shell.

Neither do I, but my meal is at about 15:00.

learned about the many health benefits of drinking 2-3 tsp. of

natural apple cider vinegar in water 3X a day. It is an excellent

digestive and should be sipped with meals (except raw fruit, of

course). I use to wash down my food supplements that need to be

taken at mealtime, like the spirulina, brewer's yeast and the ginko

biloba. The Ca+Mg+Zn that I take for various reasons needs to be had

after the meal, so I reserve a few sips of the the apple cider

vinegar in water to get those horse pills down.

I read how drinking with meals interferes with the digestive process, so I am

trying it now. People look at you funny in restaurants when you don't order a

beverage... not even water. :)
