Guest guest
I have really gotten tired of Raw Food Elitists trying to define what raw food is to others.... And I see so many of them on all the it is annoying to say the least.... i am usually 100% raw in what i consume but today if i feel like steaming some grain and eating a huge avacado salad as the topping, i will damn well please so lol. My point: Stop assuming your right since you do not walk in the other person's shoes or have their digestive system... So all the know-it-alls (as a former know-it-all, i spot you before you see yourself :-p), and " geniuses " how about we just have a nice dialogue about a new recipe you create, your personal growth, or just something new you noticed about yourself since you went raw... or is that too difficult. *steps down of soap box* Thank You

I'm all for people eating in whatever way works for them, but there may be other forums that will provide something more in the realm of animal products than what we can provide here. Guest guest
i agree it is blatant that meat eaters wont get much use of this forum UNLESS they are here to get more information for transitioning to a less toxic diet. But a lot of people have read 1-2 books on one particular topic and take it as God's truth.. and some of them ~the authors~ are no better than Dr Atkins etc. rawfood , " Bridgitte " <syndactylcat> wrote: > rawfood , " mzdjflye " <mzdjflye> wrote: > > I have really gotten tired of Raw Food Elitists trying to define > > what raw food is to others.... > > > I can only speak for myself, but I don't think that there are many > people here who are trying to define anything...just making clear > what sorts of topics are discussed on this group. Guest guest
Maybe I am missing something, but I rarely feel like people on here " believe they are right and you are wrong " . My impression is people just saying what they believe and what works for them. If I agree or don't know I may try it their way to see how it affects me. If it works, great, I learned something new. If it doesn't work for me, I still learned something new, this doesn't work for me. It's not a big deal. I thought we were having a nice dialog about recipies, growth, new things, etc. From One Elitist to another. Guest guest
I agree 100 percent. Always research the research. rawfood , " mzdjflye " <mzdjflye> wrote: > i agree it is blatant that meat eaters wont get much use of this > forum UNLESS they are here to get more information for transitioning > to a less toxic diet. > > But a lot of people have read 1-2 books on one particular topic and > take it as God's truth.. and some of them ~the authors~ are no > better than Dr Atkins etc. > > rawfood , " Bridgitte " <syndactylcat> > wrote: > > rawfood , " mzdjflye " <mzdjflye> wrote: > > > I have really gotten tired of Raw Food Elitists trying to define > > > what raw food is to others.... > > > > > I can only speak for myself, but I don't think that there are many > > people here who are trying to define anything...just making clear > > what sorts of topics are discussed on this group. Guest guest
I think it is alright to discuss the eating of animal products, or cooked food, grains, or what ever, in this club. But if they start telling us about how " healthy " these products are, or, worse yet, recommending that others eat them, then we have a problem. Most of the time when this happens, the person really does not know that these things are detrimental to their health. I only found out, about a year ago how bad grains, raw or not, are for our health. I wish someone had told me. I am very comfortable with people eating meat, eggs, grains, or dog poop. But if we saw a person sleeping on a train track, and there is a train coming isn't it proper to wake them up? Or am I just another Raw Food Elitist. I have good friends who eat at McDonalds, but they don't claim to be eating health food. If someone is feeling ill they don't suggest a Big Mac. Guest guest
I haven't been on the e-mail list long enough to recognize a problem, but I will say that I also get frustrated when people feel that their way of eating is the only right way and they try to infringe upon others. I'm not saying that this situation is going on at all -- I really have no clue. I'll play the devil's advocate: usually we feel most threatened by what someone else is saying when we know intuitively that the other person is right. If you don't agree with what someone is posting, just don't follow his/her advice. It's not worth the stress to fight about it.
Guest guest
Quite right. What a boring place the world would be if we all agreed with everyone about everything. We would all be one big herd...
