The odds of a lesbian getting AIDS is almost non-existent, unless one of them has had sex with a man. Also, Christianity permeates our society so deeply, it isn't even noticed by most. To say the principles are not tolerated is just false. SH: Actually, nature created homosexuality, probably so there were people around to take care of the children heterosexuals bore that they either could not or refused to take care of. Of course, we have screwed up the system by outlawing gay adoption. Sally The New with improved product search
Guest guest
Sally, Very well said. I agree a lot of the points you raise. Your right, Homosexuality does not cause AIDS, but the promiscuous lifestyle predominant in the (male) homosexual community spreads aids. The women that you say are in the fastest growth rate group have one thing in common. They have sex. It is very difficult to get aids if you are not having sex, particularly promiscuous sex. As far as our education system is concerned, I stand by what I said. I do not want the use of condoms being taught to our children. Why can't they teach abstinence ? Why do they have to teach about Homosexuality or sexuality at all ? I think that should be the job of a parent. I regards to your point about god creating all of us. I agree with you. I was very wrong on that point. Thanks for your considerate response. Guest guest
Why not teach abstinance? They have for years and it has failed! We are animals with hormones, and a natural sex drive. You can say don't have sex, and that is the message, but there needs to be more. Most parents don't or can't talk to their children about sex, or safe sex. Someone has to. Someone has to teach children to be responsible with sex, because it is going to happen, and always has. It just isn't covered up as much any more. If 40 year old priests ministers and others, can't abstain from it, how can we possibly expect children to do that? Quick poll: How many parents on this board have talked to their children about sex and safe sex? And how many brought it up to their children, rather than wait for their children to bring it up? Guest guest
Rufus: Sally is absolutely right in everything she said. 1st - Today, women (especially those from undeveloped countries) are in greatest risk of getting AIDS. This is a fact. Because homossexuals and drug adicts were the main target of the first anti-AIDS campaigns and today are very well informed about the risks. But heterossexual women are now the biggest risk group because of the million women living in countries where they have no rights, where husbands prohibit them to use condoms, where they are raped everyday, etc. 2nd - Homossexuality is a natural thing in nature. Do you ever watch wildlife docs on TV? From birds to primates, lots of animal species have sporadic homossexual behaviour and in some species there are individuals completely homossexual all through their lives. In nature, masturbation, oral sex and sexual games with objects are also observed among some species, specially primates. You are wrong if you still think that sex is just a mechanism of reproduction. That idea is dead since long ago. All biologists, anthropologists and other specialists in animal behavior recognize now the fact that sex is more than just reproduction. Sex is also a tool for well-being of the individuals and plays an important role in social relationships of many species. It started as just reproduction but then evolved to something more complex. Guest guest
When you say " someone " you really mean " the government " . I coulden't agree less. Just because we have been in a long term moral slide, as the family has decayed, does not mean we should give up on morals or family. None of us on this forum think that we should eat unhealthy food just because it is becoming more and more prevalent. People have taught good nutrition for years, and still the average person eats more and more junk food. Should we all just give up and eat junk food ? HECK NO ! This is the same for abstinence. People have been teaching abstinence it for years, and just because society is heading in the other direction does not mean that we should abandon our morals and accept immorality. There are many cultures that have overcome immorality. Rufus --- mavalkyrie <mavalkyrie wrote: > Why not teach abstinance? They have for years and it > has failed! Guest guest
I believe in abstinance, and I think we should still teach it as the best way. But I just don't think that alone is enough. What do most children do when you tell them not to do something? Maybe we should be telling them not to abstain.
