Guest guest
Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Kevin, I have been lurking on the board for several months. A little bit about myself... I have been about 75% raw for about two thirds of the year now and have enjoyed the group very much. I'ts a very great help to here that others find it difficult to go totally raw in today's society. I just turned 34 a week ago tomorrow. I am in an 8 year monogamous relationship with a wonderful man.....yes that means I'm gay. My partner has been HIV positive for over 12 years, when he first was diagnosed he was told that he would be dead in 2 years. At the time he was taking the doctors meds and was very close to dying so he decided to stop the medication, since he was going to die anyway. Well a funny thing happened.......he got a lot better after stopping the medication the doctors told him was his only hope. His HIV has been controlled ever since he stopped there meds. Three years ago we had an accident in which I was exposed to his blood, 3 months later I tested positive as well. At about the same time we started to change our lifestyles to include alot more medicinal herbs to help our immune systems function better. This in turn led to the slow realization that a raw lifestyle is the best way for us to live our lives. We both have the same doctor now and she is monitoring our health very closely......she has been very surprised by the results of the rawness we have done so far. However she only tests our viral loads and blood counts to chart the virus activity. We do see a homeopathic doctor in Hohenwald Tenn. by the name of Dr Larry Raw. He has been instrumental in helping us to better achieve the raw lifestyle. He is a devoutly christian man who does not pass judgment on others. He nearly wishes to help his fellow humans to create there own good health. Oh by the way my partner is also severely bipolar and has been diagnosed with Khrons disease...I hope I spelled that correctly....all of which has been helped immensely by the raw diet. Now I ask myself why am I writing this to everyone, as I am a very private person. I just seemed like the rite time to do so with all the opinions floating on the board about HIV and Homosexuality......that word by the way only describes a physical act between two people of the same gender and not a group of people. My sexual orientation has done nothing to destroy myself or anyone else. Quite the contrary, coming to terms with the fact that I am gay as a teenager saved my life. I hope I have not offended anyone by saying any of this as it was not my intention to do so. I just wanted everyone to know that the board is made up of lots of different types of people. We are all trying to take our lives in a positive direction by changing our diet and improving our health a little at a time. We all need support from everyone on this board to help up out. Guest guest
How about we all just get back to discussing RAW FOODS! We can all voice our opinions, label whomever, but this is not a forum to debate our bigger world view and our outlook on morality (if you even believe it exists). My partner has been HIV positive for over 12 years,********************8 coolness. and i salute both of you for taking this rout. all auto immune diseases have to do with running down the body with parasites, chemicals, dead foods, dirty water and air. i hope both of you have don parasite cleanses. this will really help you with your viral loads, as well as eating coconuts that are fresh and using coconut oils. azt and most other aids med stop cell division (duh) ala kills you. hiv to me does not cause aids. its a big combination of things that cause aids. i really hope that these diseases leads many people to this path. because not only will it save your life and give you better health than ever, it helps save animals, reduces the waste we make and curb enviornmental damge as well. RAW = GOOD on all levels.
Guest guest
Hi Kevin, I am very glad you have found our list and that raw foods seem to be working for you. I'm very new to it all myself, and still in a bit of a spin with it all. I hope you feel welcome here and not let some disgusting comments from a few narrow minded members put you off, but then, I guess you're used to dealing with that generally in life too. Love Shell. Guest guest
Kevin, I agree with Shell. The anger is destructive. I am extremely interested in hearing how the raw food diet affects HIV or Aids. Guest guest
Kevin, Thanks for your post. Do you and your boyfriend have any plans to become 100% raw ? I would love to hear how the transition to raw affects your health. My health has changed so dramatically eating raw, that I now believe it can cure just about anything. Not unlike you boyfriend, I too was cured of depression and Anxiety, which had caused me years of problems, and as I write this today, I am off the anxiety drugs, and coulden't feel more relaxed. I have wondered if there is anyone with HIV or AIDS who has gone RAW, and what the results have been. Please keep us updated, and please don't worry about offending anyone. As I am sure you have seen, those who become angry because they are offended, do not find much sympathy on this forum. Guest guest
Sally, It would help you to realize that there is a big difference between stating an opinion and name calling.
