Guest guest
I find it amusing how Shell thinks it's so hateful to have a civil discusson on homosexulaity. But at the same time she thinks it's ok to hate of " phanatically Christian " , " right wing views " . Rufus I find it interesting (and certainly not surprising), that any viewpoints are tolerated, except when it is accused of being 'religious'. Religion, however, is defined as 'a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature and purpose of the universe; a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects " . Religion is having a belief system, plain and simple. So, most of you appear to have a religion of 'there is no God'. That is your freedom to believe as such. However, recognize that that is your religion!!! Christians are accused of being closed-minded and intolerant, but non-Christians can be accused of the same behavior. Seems most of you don't like to admit it. You talk about tolerance, but are definitely INtolerant of those whose belief is founded on the Bible. I HATE CHRISTIANS with a passion, but you wont see me on here spouting off about the millions of things that are wrong with your bible, your history, and the blood of millions. how you fail to be like christ (accepting, forgiving, good spirited) and spew out hate and intolerance to others. not asking you to be open minded, but to be considerate of others in a place that should be judgement free. christians don't " OWN " raw foodism.. END IT NOW. this is not the theistic debate forum.
Guest guest
Roger, I am very uncomfortable with Bryan's e-mail below. I feel that it should be grounds for his removal from this forum. It is inexcusable. Bryan and his ilk are the ones guilty of intolerance and hatred. We were debating an issue, expressing views on homosexuality, and are now the targets of Bryan's hatred. I understand folks getting passionate about debate, but this is too much. Brian, FYI. I am not a Christian, nor am I a right winger. I haven't seen too many posts in here attacking homosexuals. The posts having to do with homosexuality weren't filled with anger. It seems that all the posts from people counter to that viewpoint were filled with anger. As if anyone with a contrary viewpoint was crazy and that they had the right to be mad. I've also just read some of the other posts from Bryan. He obviously hasn't read your posts. You weren't attacking homosexuals at any time. That last post from Bryan was not pleasant and I hope he tones down his anger in the future. That is one of the main things I don't want to see in this group. I don't want this to be like other groups where the members are constantly attacking each other. Let's have debate but in a friendly way. That way if we are wrong we can admit it and move on. As mentioned before the whole issue came about due to discussing the Germ Theory and what I call the AIDS Hoax. Yes some two of the posts brought up religion, but they were brought up in a respectful way. Just so you know I am not a Christian either and never have been. Also I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I do think that we need to be tolerant of each other. I'm also not going to expel Bryan from the group. But I hope that Bryan will not have too many more posts like this last one. Bryan keep the content and try to tone down the anger a bit. It's not healthy to hate. Guest guest
Roger Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I wanted to drop this a long time ago, but was surprised by some of the posts. I will not respond to posts like this in the future. I apriciate it, i am here because i am raw, i am pro rights for animals, nature, females, homosexuals and minorites. i get my feathers ruffled rather easily, i have been discriminated against my whole life for being different, for being pro all the things i am pro, i come from colorado, the buckle of the bible belt, and being vegan let alone a raw one is tough in this very backwards place where i reside.. in a sense i come to the net to escape these things that oppress the likes of me in my home town, only to be disturbed when i see even a shimmering of a resemblance of the arrogant denial of my acceptance of nature, animals, females, gays and minorities. its disrespectful to say gay is wrong. how about gay is wrong " FOR YOU " . i can live with that. my rage is easily provoked, i didn't have a great upbringing in this town with my views and lifestyle and i have had to swallow other peoples S* & ^% for my entire life. i get sick of it is all. especially the dis-respect thing.
