Guest guest
Hello Many thanks Bernadette and Doug for your help with Rejuvelac. I've read the Clement article but will continue until I notice any problems. A note on the flax seed-- I use my coffee grinder and place nori sheets (slightly heated) in there also- use to sprinkle on my raw sprouts and veges. Now- does anyone know if it is ''safe'' to drink the juice of horseradish leaves? And the same for comfrey leaves? I'm growing heaps of horseradish and come autumn will make my own. But in the meantime there are all the huge leaves going nowhere!! And I could use my juicer downtime to make more juice. And while I'm at it- how about silverbeet leaf juice, spinach leaf juice etc. Many thanks- great group. George
Guest guest
George Comfrey leaf formerly was highly esteemed as a vulnerary, but has come under fire in recent years because it contains a group of alkaloids (pyrollizidine) which are believed to be hepatoxic. As a result, Comfrey has been banned from sale in many countries. If used it is best used as a poultice for bruises, sores and insect bites. It was used heavily in the Civil War to treat wounds and broken bones. Good Luck Bruce zhukanui <gbr wrote: Hello Many thanks Bernadette and Doug for your help with Rejuvelac.
