Guest guest
I wish there was a book available that told the protein stats for various vegetables or grains(do grains have any protein). I've seen plenty of carb and fat counters but none for protein. LiLi
Guest guest
Whole grains have protein...Vegetables and fruit do not. They have carbs (simple sugars). Guest guest
Whole grains have protein...Vegetables and fruit do not. They have carbs (simple sugars). [RH] Actually this is not true. All foods have protein in them. All cells have protein in them, therefore all foods do as well. There is ample protein in fruits for healthy people to thrive on. Some people who don't absorb well or are transitioning may need more in the way of leafy green vegetables that average near 50% of their calories from protein. Nuts and seeds are much higher in fat than protein and should be eaten sparingly and preferably soaked. Our closest relative in the animal world is the bonobo chimp. Their digestive system is virtually identical to ours. Their DNA is 99.8% the same as ours and they have the intelligence level of an 8 year old. Their diet consists of 96% fruit. Our ideal diet consists of mostly fruit and leafy greens. You can build all the muscle you want on this kind of diet. You may not be able to be a Sumo Wrestler however.
