I smelled KFC today and I am craving a chicken drumstick like crazy.

Oh no!

If I end the fast today I will need to go purchase more juice. I

didn't tell my teenager not to drink it and it's gone.

I do have oranges, apples, and grapefruits. Are juices the only way

to end a fast, if I ate the oranges would that be ok? How many could

I eat?

I will reply to messages left for me here in the group or by email

late tonight or tomorrow morning.

No Juices are NOT the way to end a fast.

Juices while on juice fast only.

Then break it by eating the whole fruit.

Lili, the most important part of a fast is coming out.

One singular piece of raw fruit to begin, then allow 2 hours and eat one

more of the same fruit.

After a couple more hours eat a vegetable, then go really slowly and

carefully in reintroducing food.

Lili,

Do not buy juice of any kind. It is all cooked. Juicing your apples

will do fine.

The fruit you have will be enough. Start with it watered.

Eating any food or juice food will take her out of the most beneficial

part of the fast. She'll go back to burning mostly carbs instead of

mostly fats. The fat cells are where most of the toxins are stored.

People have to water fast 2 to 3 days to get to the protein sparing

point. By eating lightly, I think she would start breaking down too much

muscle.

Maybe if she had food with virtually no carbs like leafy greens or

cucumbers then she may not switch over to burning glucose. One of the

problems of juice fasting in general is that you are still eating. It's

also much less effective than water fasting. People feel good on a juice

fast precisely because they are still eating and getting nutrients.

(Therefore, they are getting much less detox.)
