Guest guest
I have tried many different weight loss programs in my twenty-one childbearing years. (We just had our 8th child on March 27, 2003.) As a breastfeeding Mama, whenever I tried to lose weight, I'd always have problems with my milk supply drying up. Now that I eat all raw living food I have plenty of good RICH nutritious breastmilk. I started eating all raw at 4 months postpartem on July 10, 2003. Ever since then I've been losing my excess weight without my breastmilk drying up. Terrific! I feel like juicing has been KEY for me. It is like insurance. I try to have 2 juices a day of a pint each. I know I'm getting lots and lots of nourishment for me and Baby. Because the fiber is taken out of these veges, (I use a Champion Juicer) when I drink the juice it bypasses the digestive system and the fresh-raw-live-enzyme-vegetable juice goes right into the bloodstream and then to the cells. Aaah! Flood those cells with nourishment! I'm convinced that a Mama drinking fresh vege juice will make THE BEST breastmilk. It even has a green tint to it. Ha! Our baby boy, Peter, is 100% RAW breastmilk fed! *Smile* I will begin Peter on a little yummy raw living solid food when he cuts teeth because teeth signify his system is ready to digest it. I'll start him on bits of raw banana, apple, and avocado. Whatever raw food I'm eating I'll share with him so he can do some chompin' with those little toofies. Peter is eight months old and is crawling all over the house and pulling himself to a stand. He is alert, strong, active as can be and he is CHUBBY! Guest guest
You may want to check into a called raw baby. Karen Knowler, who runs the Fresh Network in the UK started it (i'm pretty sure). I posted on another group for the information - i'll post it when i get it. She was having trouble with her son who she had on a raw diet not developing as he should have been. She made some dietary adjustments and he caught up and is where he should be. She and the other people on the group would be a great resource - they may be able to let you know what works and what doesn't so you'll be prepared once he starts cutting teeth. Good luck, Bridgitte
