Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am 100% Raw Food Vegan. I am particularly interested in an old post, that I accidently deleted. It was all about nuts and pms, and more. I have been wondering about nuts for some time now. When I eat nuts, they taste great, but seem cause breast pain, bloating, pms problems and massive bleeding during the menstrual cycle. I never had any pms problems before I started eating nuts. Anyone else having these problems? I am perefectly healthy when I stay away from nuts. The problem for me is I am a Gourmet Living Foods Chef. I prepare all kinds of beautiful delicasies for my clients, who want nut based recipes I of course, have to taste my food, that what gets me into trouble. Thanks in advance for your help. I don't know what it is about fat (any kind, avocados included) that causes problems, but my friend said it works wonders. Bridgitte

" [RH] That is easy to explain. Nuts and seeds are high in fat and they have a strong influence on the hormone levels in your body. [RH] In my opinion and healthy raw food diet isn't very high in fat. It should be no more than 15% of your total calories. The only fat I'm not sure about, is the fat in coconuts. I have been educated on this board as to the differences of the fat in coconuts as opposed to other fat sources like nuts, seeds and avocados in a typical raw food diet. I've done lots of experimentation and I've found the fat in raw coconuts to have much less of a negative impact on my health than other fats. It may also have a positive impact. You'll have to experiment for yourself to see. But a high fat diet causes many problems. You can learn to make great recipes that are well combined and that are low in fat. Unfortunately most raw foodists average at least 60% of their calories from fat and this leads to poor health results on many levels. It's the fast way to cancer and so-called sugar metabolism diseases. To Your Radiant Health, Roger Do You Have These Problems With Your Raw Food Diet? 1.
