Guest guest
Thank you Bridgitte & Roger! It makes so much sense to stay away from all fats during that time. I even thought I would take it one step further and fast! I've been successfully fasting since I was 17 years old. It isn't something I've ever considered doing before, during, and after menstration. What a wild experiment, eh? I am particularly interested in the old post though, about nuts and seeds. Can anyone repost that one? It talked about how no female in the wild goes through menstration or menopause. I am in the process of writing my book and would like to know if any women on this list have had trouble with nuts and seeds. It would be a great addition to my book. As for me, I am working on developing gourmet recipes without nuts and seeds. Every uncook book has zillions of recipes ulitlizing nuts and seeds. I'm really not sure if seeds themselves cause any problems. I'm sure if we were living in the wild, we could manage to crack open a few nuts and maybe we would eat a few seeds here and there, but I seriously doubt we would eat them all the time, the way we do now. I have a feeling that our main food source would be wild greens and fruits. Have the best day ever! Guest guest
Angel, Main problem with nuts is getting them fresh. Most and all from our local supermarket are dehydrated. Peter
Guest guest
I am getting confused The raw books I have been reading say nuts (almonds/ pumpkin seeds etc) don't sprout they just swell Am I reading the wrong books? Alan
Guest guest
Alan Nut that do not sprout will not grow. It is in the nature of nuts to grow. If they are infertile due to heat treatment, they will not digest properly and the essential amino acids in them will be transformed into substances which are about as healthy as a fried egg or as useful as cooked sperm. In some cases the damage may even be worse.
