Guest guest
I ask this because I have'nt seen many look very healthy. I've been reading up on it for a few years, and want to do it, but the lack of healthy looking raw foodist discourages me. Ann wigmore ,argueably, the founder looked like most people her age when she died to me. I know this will upset some raw foodist, but I'm sure I'm not the only to notice. If anyone knows of any raw foodist been doing it more than 20 years actually look younger, plz let me know. P.S. only one I've noticed looks younger is Karyn Calabrese thus far. Thank you.

Well, I don't know when the picture in the back cover of the Cousen's book (Rainbow diet) was taken, but he is now 60, and if that photograp is recent, you can see he seems to be a lot less years there... Guest guest
Hi Raven, I find what you said inviting. I too have thought those thoughts and I also know that in life what we are presented is what healthy is suppose to look like. As a yogi, I know that sometime I have to allow my perception to shift because what I thought was right is not. As a dancer in college I was very thin and ate a very clean veg. diet with no dinner or starch and most people always said your too thin. I look at those pictures and I was very pretty and very healthy and very thin. Now 13 years later eating cooked off and on and enjoying sugar at times, coffee ect. I have the typical healthy body but I am not as healthy. So what I can say about what looks healthy maybe it's not. Our perception is almost given to us by society. If we are willing to stop and feel whats is right for us, we know the truth. What is your truth? Sincerly sat nam merric
Guest guest
All the rawfoodists I know look better on a raw food diet. At first people may not look good because they are removing toxins. But after the detox they look a lot better. I don't think basing the decisions on perceived looks is a good way to do it. You should try the diet and see how you feel. That is the best test. It's not about living to 120 but feeling great every moment of your day. That is what I get. I am a new person ever since eating raw foods. Man was eating raw before he was eating cooked. You're making it sound like cooked food is the tested and well established method when in actuality it is the experiment and raw food is what every healthy animal eats and human used to eat. I know a guy 50 who looks 30. I know a guy 40 who looks 20. You can see my picture at www.superbeingdiet.com and see how I look. I'm 36 now and some people actually think I'm in college. (I don't think I look that young. Maybe like I'm in my mid twenties. But compared to people I was friends with in high school and college, I look great.) Hope that helps, Roger Haeske Have you tried the Raw Diet many times but failed to stick with it? Now you can learn the Motivational and Dietary Secrets to success on a 100% Raw Food Diet. Guest guest
I don't know anyone personally who has done it for that long. I know some 15 year vererans. One is older anyway and I don't know what he would have looked like had he never gone to raw foods. In general, raw foodists, to me, appear more radiant and have healthier skin. They also tend to not get sick and have gotten off medications, etc. I simply enjoy being healthier and not getting sick. I don't know how it will affect my appearence in 15 years. If I can feel great and avoid the hospitol in that time, then great! I do know that many raw foodists also spend a lot of time in the sun, which is a natural part of health. The raw body seems to be able to process the sun through the skin far more efficiently than those on a SAD diet. The sun may also have an effect on appearance. Personally, I'd rather be healthier the rest of my life than to worry about how I may look. I have noticed that people moving to raw foods tend to look much younger after the transition. That actually gives them a head start at a youthful look! Jeff
Guest guest
i haven`t met lot of people who are in raw food more thant 20 years, but i know few people and they look 10 years younger of thier present age or even less.but thier inner disposition is very clam also.in spiritual field there are people who look very young and glowing because of their inner calmness which reflects in thier physical body. Guest guest
I was thinking about this last night. There are a few folks online who look good eating this diet long term (I don't know any in person, but that proves nothing) and there are quite a few great before and after pictures of short timers to add to the long term folks. But what does this prove either way? There are plenty of folks who eat various kinds of (reasonable) diets, including those who eat some meat, who look GREAT. I had an aunt who looked the picture of health and much younger than her age who ate terribly and had type II diabetes and died from breast cancer. She didn't even look that bad on her death bed. She was blessed with good genes and this cannot be discounted, I think, when looking at folks, no matter how they eat. The before and after shots are great, but I sold that eating raw for a time--bombarding the system with nutrition and giving it a chance to detox--is the best way to heal from illness (and most eating a SAD are in some stage of illness). But that doesn't mean we ~should~ eat this way all the time. I mean, to me, 20 bananas a day sounds as intemperate as a candy bar every day. Anyway, just wanted to note that how folks LOOK isn't necessarily indicative of what we should be doing, though it ~might~ (and only might) be indicative of what we shouldn't be doing. Guest guest
Also, keep in mind that Karyn is a former model so she would probably look beautiful regardless of the diet she followed. Genetics really does make a difference if one only judges by outward appearance. However, it would be nice to see more before and after photos of long term raw foodists.
