Guest guest
Hubby Loses 30 Via Raw! Hey you health seekers that want to lose weight...this note is to encourage you to try going all raw. My husband, Cliff, had extremely intolerable lower back pain. He tried medication to no avail and he tried the chiropractor and that did no good either. I've never seen him in so much pain! He cried out in pain and scared me and the children. He said the pain level was probably up there with childbirth. Well you know I've been praying for my husband and just keeping my mouth SHUT about getting healthy. Every time I would worry about his big barrel of a belly, and his junk food habit, I'd just pray, pray, pray. I can't help wondering if...well, do you think God would allow back pain to get Cliff to change? Let me tell you what--PAIN MAKES YOU CHANGE! Cliff was desperate. He actually ASKED me what I thought he should do. I said, " I'll tell you in two words. " Can you guess what they were? Yep! GO RAW. He started on October 15th. Sure enough Cliff lost 20 pounds the first month, and 10 pounds the second month, just like me and Dr. Joel Fuhrman's thousands and thousands of patients. Also, just like Serene Allison writes about in her book, " Rejuvenate Your Life " Cliff discovered satiety when he eliminated all cooked food from his diet and actually said, " This is too easy! " He too thought he'd be famished and never be able to stay all raw. HE'S NOT ONLY LOST 30 POUNDS HE'S PLANNING TO LOSE ALL EXCESS WEIGHT!!! RAW! RAW! RAW! Guest guest
That's so encouraging. I'm rather depressed after a mediation today for an accident that I was in the caused lower back pain and I can identify completely with crying out in pain. I have weight to lose but that's not where my back problem comes from but I do think it would help with the pain. I have so many health problems including a problem they found in the bone marrow in my upper spine, ibs, an ulcer and just general digestive problems. Sinuses, headaches and I work a killer schedule. I just want to feel healthy. I did about 2 weeks 90 percent raw and loved it and than my husband came back into town and wasn't supportive at all. I tried to stick with it on my own but that we're having such financial problems that 3 for a dollar maccaroni and cheese is the cheapest thing to eat (it's that bad). We have a little juicer and a blender. I want to get started again but need to be able to do it as cheaply as possible as our situation is rather dire. I just want to feel healthy.! I want that so badly. I'm sorry if I seem like I'm pleading for advice but I just feel so desperate today. They kept referring to my pain as subjective today and I know I hurt so badly. It was just really frustrating and I realize I'm going to have to make myself get better as no one else is going to do it for me. I want very much to have a child and I need to be healthy first and I haven't a lot of time. I'm 38 and have already had 3 miscarriages. Any advice. Any at all would be so appreciated. Blessings, Jeanette

Guest guest
Jeanette, I would get in touch with Kelli Castro http://www.wholisticraw.com/ - she lost a huge amount of weight on raw, got rid of huge health problems and is currently pregnant after being told it could never happen. Guest guest
Jeanette, I forgot to mention the budget food tips... Wild foods - there are many greens you can pick for salads (and juice if you have a suitable juicer). You could get a book out of the library. Sprouts - one of the most nutritious foods available and they are cheap tp grow on your window sill - you just need a few wide-necked jars with some mesh tied over the top, and rinse them twice a day. Seeds, nuts, grains and pulses are very cheap to buy and store well. Those two will give you lots of minerals... then all you need is some calories and a few vitamins! I go to the supermarket late in the day to get reduced-price fruit (big variety day-to-day), and always look to see what’s on offer... at the moment melons and pineapples are cheap and oranges are just coming into season. If you have a freezer you can freeze berries for a long time, and add to smoothies. Bananas are usually good value. So it’s easy to add more raw food to your diet cheaply. You could also set yourself a weekly budget for fruit and veg - and stick to it. You might be surprised at how far it can stretch :-) Sara xx > I tried to stick with it on my own but that we're having such > financial problems that 3 for a dollar maccaroni and cheese is > the cheapest thing to eat (it's that bad).
