It is, of course, harder to sprout wheatgrass in the winter from my experience.

But yes I sprout it alot in the summer months, it is farely easy once you get it

down.

happy sprouting,

Shira

Speaking of sprouting, before I embark on inve$ting and trying to sprout

wheatgrass, I was wondering if anyone had good luck with it or just found it

easier to buy at the local health food store?

Any sprout growers in the Boston area? I'm new to sprouting and have found

lots of online sources of seeds, but I can't seem to find anyone locally

that sells seeds (other than the usual soy, mung, wheat, etc. at Whole

Foods) or equipment. I'd like to experiment with radish, garlic, etc. but

don't want to buy 1 or 5 pounds of seed.

Thanks

I order 1# bags of cut wheatgrass from Albert's Produce, through United Whole

Foods Cooperatives out of Brattleboro VT, for $7, and it makes about 1 1/2 trays

of frozen cubes.

I have a small co-op/buying club with a few friends, through United Natural

Foods, 1-800-451-4520. Their produce comes from Albert's Organics, (888)

289-8418. There are minimums for ordering, and I order every 4 weeks.

Good luck.

By the way, I love this company for sprout seeds. They have excellent stock,

and will sell you any quantities. I'm not sure, but I think the shipping may be

a little steeper (they're in Canada), but they are worth it. Mumms:

I also use http://www.sproutpeople.com/. Their seeds are somewhat

pricey but their quality is good. Even though I am in the market

for local vendors in the DC area (if anyone knows of any).
