Guest guest
I want to lose a lot of weight. I have read eating avacados really speeds up weight loss. Does anyone have experience with going raw for weight loss and suggestions. Thanks
Guest guest
I don't know if you should go into it just for losing weight. I mean that would mean once you lose the weight your gonna go back and start eating the same crap before?! If you go into it...you should do it not for losing weight..but for your health for the rest of your life and also to feel good about yourself. I mean when I started 'diet's' I did it to lose weight..ATkins and on and on...but I decided to go raw not to lose weight...but because this was teh best way for me to be healthy and remain that way. Not only that..but also political, moral, and social reasons. All in all the weight took a major back seat. But since you want to know about losing weight...you do and I have lost quiet a lot since I've been on it. Not only that my health was amazing, my edema went down, and my eczema disappeared. And my skin just was moist. I'm not sure about avocadoes..it has a high fat content. I do believe in eating a variety of fruits and vegetables together. Like avocadoes added to a spinach, tomatoe, and bell pepper salad. Or even avocado in a fruit salad, but I make it a point not to eat much of it. I do believe you should try juicing and that's good for fasting and maybe getting into a cleanse. I have the Arise and Shine..pricey but I have all my supplements and regime to follow. Not to mention a juice fast will be added to take once a month to cleanse all the toxins that may still be left over! Take out some books maybe works by Steve Meyerowitz..and nice small cookbook on raw cooking, nothing expensive or check out www.livingfoods.com , for recipes. And think about why your really doing it. Mentally applying yourself to the reasons...will make you follow through and maintain even after you lose the weight. I did 4 months of research not to mention that I also tested out what foods made me sick and what was causing all the patterns. All of it lead to this road that I plan on walking. This is far from fad, or a diet. This is just health and vitality! Sincerely, VB rawfood , " ldsalot " <fastfunder@j...> wrote: > I want to lose a lot of weight. Guest guest
Thank you for you thoughts, Verberella. I have been studying and learning about raw for a long time. I agree it needs to be a lifestyle and one which I want. My food addiction is so strong that I have had terrible time getting total commitment which is my weakness. I have read several books. (Botenko esp.) and even spent time in Boston with Ann Wigmore before she died. In Victoria's book, " 12 Steps to Raw " She said that the lipase in avocados helps break down body fat. She said the more she ate the more weight she lost. I was looking for someone else that might had this experience because I am aware, as you, of their high fat content. Thank you for taking time to respond to me. I am always encouraged by other's stories. Please feel free to share any other experiences.
