Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have just joined the group and would like some simple advice on where to start. At this stage I'm not looking to change my diet completely to 100% raw food and would prefer not to have to go out and buy books and machines just yet, but would like some ideas on what kind of foods are simplest and best to buy when one is new to this and ideas on how to prepare them. Where's best to start? Many thanks, Rosy

Where's best to start? The more input the better on this question. I have a tendency to buy books and read up a storm...but I'd love to hear success stories from those of you who have done the work and overcome the hurdles. I have a Champion juicer that I love and several juicing books. Now probably what I really need is someone behind me ready to kick!!! Guest guest
Hi, I just started too. I looked on the web for recipes and ideas. When that proved to be less than helpful I decided to work with what I already knew. First night I made spaghetti, regular cooked pasta but I made a raw sauce with tomatoes, basil, garlic, etc. It was really good. Next night I did wraps with regular flour tortillas stuffed with different veggies I had run through the food processor. I have to be honest with myself. If I'm miserable I won't stick to it, so for me I have to ease myself into this diet with old favorites I've just re-written with a raw factor. Everyone is different about food, I think my husband could eat anything, I'm kind of picky. I like things to taste good. I'm going to go through my cookbook of recipes I've been making for years and just adjust for raw instead of cooked. For now I am allowing myself to utilize those cooked items that make it all palatable. Guest guest
NoOne, I mean NOONE! Loves pasta more than me:-) but, I am eating angel hair zucchini and squash pasta: and it is BETTER! Try it! The machine is a saladacco, and it is about 15 bucks to make the pasta/ I do /not/ miss the old pasta one bit!
