Guest guest
I wanted to let you know that I've posted a new photo in my " in progress " photo journal. You can see this at: http://www.exerciseyourwillpower.com/about.html I'm sure the newest picture makes me look a bit heavier than I actually am. I'm not saying this because I think I look too heavy--just stating a fact since I look in the mirror and see a skinny person. But since the picture makes me look more curvacious--that is fine by me. It isn't the best picture since I used the timer on the camera, and don't have a tri-pod (so it is taken a little lower than I would have liked--doesn't do much for my face/neck). Yes, I know I sound critical--but, hey, I've had all my life to learn this trait. I'm working on that too. Viveca ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What's Goji Juice? Guest guest
Meeting up with other raw foodists like those on this list has really helped to inspire me. Also, listening to David Kleine online and e-mailing with him and Paul Nison. Many books have also helped educate and motivate me. Here are some of the ones I started out with: 12 Steps to Raw: Breaking The Cooked Foods Addiction--Victoria B The Raw Secrets-- The Sundfood Diet Success System--David Wolfe The Raw Life--Paul Nison Thanks for your comments. Guest guest
Just stating my opinion here, but you look the healthiest and best in the photo taken 6 months before going raw- it's easy to tell by comparing your complexion in the first photo to the most recent- you just have more of a healthy " glow " in the first. I'm not saying you look bad now, just better before. If you'll be honest with yourself, I think you'll see what I'm talking about. You wouldn't have posted your pics if you weren't seeking opinions, so that is mine. Either way, you're a beautiful lady and I commend the fact that you're seeking and believing that there is something better for your life- a bit of advice though- start seeking truth in yourself and not in some " magical " diet or food- take it from someone who's been there. The truth lies within Viveca- not in raw food. SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Try it! http://webhosting./ps/sb/

Guest guest
Eric and others, I have noticed just by going raw that all areas of my life have changed. My spiruality has increased. I can tell that my vibration level has changed which I feel has affected it. I do realize that it is my Truth is inside and it is ALL that is truly important. I do feel like I'm in touch with that part of life. I feel very much in the flow. I got into Natural Hygiene again because I knew it would help me lose weight. However, I became a vegan a little afterwards because I had already weened myself away from buying eggs and milk, but still consumed them if they were an ingredient in something. A little while later, I found out the benefits of eating raw. I didn't choose to eat raw to lose weight. I wanted to be healthy and detox my body too. I don't think of eating raw as a weight loss diet, it is just a benefit. I am currently not even trying to lose weight. I am actually eating to try to avoid any weight loss. I heard that when you detox, you lose weight and will even look drawn and unhealthy. I figure that is what is happening to me. I fee wonderful in every way. I am energetic and eat a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, and seeds and nuts. I have been 100% raw for about 4 months. I also heard that it can take quite a while to detox. Can anyone tell me if I should be finished detoxing? I spent about 3 months transitioning to 100%. In retrospect I believe I should have taken longer before going 100%. I'm sure if I had done it slower, I could have avoided the drastic weight lass at the beginning. However, now I don't lose more than 1 1/2 pound in 2 to 3 weeks. Anyone think I can speed up the detox and start regaining weight a bit if I started doing a juice fast? I was told it would probably be better not to do a water fast. Also, before starting this, I had been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for 24 years, no chocolate for 13, no caffiene for 7 years, no sodas for many years and no decaf coffee for about 1 year (prior to that--only 1 - 5 cups a year). I do know that I always didn't eat the most healthy foods, but for the most part, I believe my diet was a lot better than most people's before going raw. So to sum things up, I don't think it is uncommon that I looked healthier in the " before " photo, do you? I imagine after I finish detoxing I will look much better. Most people don't show all the photos during the detox time, but I thought it would be good to document it. Also, I had makeup on in the " before " photo and didn't have any on in the others. Guest guest
Okay, I have some questions pertaining to the raw food diet and how to take care otherwise. Some are questions not directly related to raw food and some are: 1. What are the quick, easy foods to eat to become raw and healthy? I need some tips on what to get besides bananas, oranges, celery, and raw nuts. 2. Does anyone have a recipe for raw crackers or things I can make as snacks for going to and from classes at night. I drive an hour each way and don't want to be tempted with fast food places. 3. What do you all wash your hair/body with? I would assume you are also against the shampoos and stuff that have chemicals and such in them? I make my own soap, but is that okay or do you all not use soap? Just wondering what is best. Three is a good starting point. I have two books coming - the 12 steps to raw foods and raw secrets, but could use some basics right now. Guest guest
Viveca, Do me a favor and come out of your cage and live!! There is one thing in life that makes us mortal, diseased, aging, and unhappy beings- it is the substance of death by our own creation- it is no other than FEAR. Fear seperates us from the truth which is LIFE. Once fear is gone and you become as ONE with EVERYTHING in existence, you become complete, you are perfect, and you will be IMMORTAL. Case closed. Guest guest
Thanks, I rather think the notion below as I do about proving Pythagoras. There are so many proofs that one wonders how many more can turn up. Same for Raw Food eating. By that I mean fully Raw and not all these recipes and concoctions I see about. Enough before I get shot for talking philosophy. Peter tev treowlufu [goraw808] 29 January 2004 19:06 rawfood RE: [Raw Food] my update That's a good one Peter! Guest guest
Hi There, I make moong sprouts. They are excellent snack and very filling too. You can make wheat sprouts and make patties out of that by pressing them. Hope this helps. Atul
Guest guest
> Viveca, > Do me a favor and come out of your cage and live!! This sounds awfully presumptuous. If you have read all of Viveca's posts in the past, I don't think you'd be saying this. ~Wendy
