Guest guest
Sonia, Correct. Truly fresh nuts in season are all you need from nuts. Not only that the heat on the amino acids turn out some kind of poison which I have now forgotten. Just add that even then nuts are great for sex. Nearest thing we have to aphrodisiac! Guest guest
Nuts and seeds! Almonds sprout. Seeds like sunflower seeds, sesame, and inshell pumpkin seeds sprout. Nuts like pecans, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, mac nuts, and others will not. It doesn't mean they are bad though. Check your sources. www.rawfood.com sells raw nuts, and a few other raw companies. Good luck. Sonia <soniaoxo wrote: peter, If I understand you correctly, NUTS should sprouts if they don't then they are NOT good for me? correct? Guest guest
A: A botanical definition of a nut is a fruit with a hard, dry shell that needs to be cracked open to release the kernel. Nuts grow on trees. However, peanuts are a legume, and are grown underground. --- " L.Win " <rustym wrote: > Nuts like pecans, hazelnuts, brazil nuts, mac nuts, > and others will not. > - > How come they're not extinct if the seeds won't > sprout? > rusty > - > " Alex Malinsky " <alexmalinsky > <rawfood > > Tuesday, January 27, 2004 10:27 AM > RE: [Raw Food] NUTS! Guest guest
I think what I will do is stay away from nuts and dried fruit until I hav reach my ideal weight then maybe i can introduce it slowly and in moderation otherwise I will NEVER loose the weight. Guest guest
Sonia All nuts can be fresh. In the nut industry they know that nuts keep much longer if they are dried out by some heating process. Trouble is they are now raw after that. Getting fresh almonds is not easy. There is a certainty of almost one that any nut in a packet has been dried out. Sometimes I have found fresh Brazil nuts in England and sometimes they are mouldy. I really would like to buy them fresh. My problem is finding them. Cooked nuts are fattening as are dried fruits. No doubt about it - fresh food in season it the ideal. Simple really!
