Guest guest
Thankyou both for your input. I have begun eating larger quantities of vegetables now, especially the greens, and I have cut out the dried fruit, it had started to taste very sweet. I am amazed at how quickly my taste buds have changed, (I was always such a sugar baby). It seems that removing dried fruit from my diet may well have been the last step that I needed to take to complete my goal of becoming 100% raw. Whilst the dried fruit did help during the transitioning stage, I am happy now with the way my diet has evolved, (vegetables, fresh fruits, some nuts and seeds), I haven't eaten any dried fruit since friday, I have had no cravings, and no hypoglyceamic lows since then. Like a lot of people, whose body chemistry had changed from eating 'junk' foods, I often felt like food was controlling me. Not any more, I am now out of the habit of weighing and calculating calories, I have stopped weighing myself. Since starting my gradual change to a raw lifestyle, I have found myself taking an interest in things that I only noticed in passing before, I have become more aware and sensitive to our environment and the planet we live on. I am constantly amazed and baffled as to the way my whole mental state has changed, I feel so much more peaceful and calm these days (and dare I say it, I actually think I have discovered a level of intelligence within myself....been making some pretty clever decisions lately) I am sorry to ramble on so much, but I am so glad to have found this site, there is so much valuable information, and currently it is the only support group that I have. Thanks again Molly.
Guest guest
Molly, You probably have a whole new ecosystem living in your gut. The old stuff was greater in volume and demanded the substances of your craving. Now that it has gone you are in a different world. Guest guest
Hi Rich & Peter, I have been a vegetarian for a year a now and have been a raw fooder since Jan 1, 2004. I was diagnosed with colitis 3 years ago. Still had a colon issues up until Jan 1 which started with a 21 day cleaning followed by a wonderful raw way of life (not a diet).I love my sprouts which provide natural enzymes for easy digestion and energy for life. Thanks for your conversations on this group. Frank Peter Gardiner <petergardiner wrote: No problem, Except I did not see a message for Frank! Peter Peter I am so sorry I called you Frank. Guest guest
I guess that's an important point, about eating raw is not a diet, it's a way of life. Rich
