Guest guest
Hi- i'm also new to the group. I've been veg for 3 years and vegan for a few months. carol- i was so impressed with your story, i wish i could get my boyfriend to go veg... it seems like it will be an issue if i have kids, dealing with doctors and other parents who feed their kids meat. I've heard very mixed results from my friends who grew up in veg households. i heard there is a website where you can go and get reccomendations for veg*n primary physicians and family doctors, but i can't remember what it is- anyone know? and what are the chances of finding a veg*n doctor that actually takes my health insurance! i'm thinking of becoming a nutritionist just so i can have some clout when i spread my views...mainstream docs just don't have a CLUE when it comes to veg*n diets
Guest guest
Hi, I've tried to post here a couple of times but for some reason it never works when I post to any of my from e-mail, I always have to come to the site to do it. Anyhoo, quick intro - I'm 27, have been vegan for two years (went straight from omni to vegan), I have a 7 month old daughter who will also be raised vegan (although currently her diet consists mostly of mommy milk - human milk for human babies!) and my husband is about 90% vegan, he strays sometimes when he's on the road (he's a courier and spends about 7 hours/day, 6 days/week in his car). I just wanted to say that I was really nervous when we told our ped that we were going to raise our daughter vegan, I was expecting a lecture and to have to defend myself but to my surprise he said, " Great! " He said he didn't care if she ever ate an animal product in her life and that people should be using meat as a condiment anyway and we should be getting our nutrition from plant sources. I must say I was really surprised, but pleasantly so! Anyway, just wanted to say you may be surprised too. Jewel

Guest guest
Hello i am new. I have never been vegetarian or vegan or raw for that matter so this is all new to me. However after going to the peta website thats all i needed. I had NO idea so many things contained meat products. I have also read here and there about eating fruits at certain times and veggies at others. Wheat grass?? Will you all help me in trying to figure this all out. I havent gotten any books. I thought about going to the library later. But if you could give me some help i would be forever appreciative. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hello Ally, There's as many ways to eat raw as there are raw eaters. For me spiritually/morally/mentally/physically, I think I need to just eat plant food as I need it and not worry about the creative ways it can be done much. Under www.rawfood.com (Nature's First Law) you can find foods and books for shipment. I had to try their cashews with skin a time ago.
