Guest guest
Nut Milk Recipe: 1 cup Almonds 4 cups Water Blend until " smooth " Strain through a cheese cloth or nut milk bag, squeezing to get all milk out. That is how I did it, xcept I cut the recipe to 1/4th this one. There are variations, like adding a date to sweeten it, etc... I think this ratio can be used with other nuts, like Macadamias, or cashews as well. Mine came out wonderful. Although I did not drink it. I put it on my oats (I still do some cooked foods) Hope this helps. nyia

Guest guest
Yes, blend in a blender. It takes maybe 5 minutes or less. I get raw nuts at the health food store. Although, I hear that raw cashews are not really raw because they are heated out of their shell. If you want truly raw ones you can order them from Nature's First Law. They have other raw nuts on their site as well. As a note, I made almond milk this morning and decided not to strain it. It tasted almost the same on my oats, just a little thicker. So, perhaps if ones isn't drinking it or doesn't mind it being thicker, then you don't need to strain it. Plus, I keep more of the nutrional value if I eat all of it. Anyway, it was good. :-) Nice and creamy. It would be excellant on fruit. nyia rawfood , " goodkarma " <karmacharmer@m...> wrote: > Really dumb question.... *blend* as in blender? I hope so.
