Nora Hi Nora, Sorry to hear you got food poisoning. You might want to drink some ginger tea. Ginger settles the stomach. You could slice some fresh ginger and put it in a teapot. Guest guest
Nora, For any kind of food poisoning, follow the BRAT diet - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast (except I can't handle the Toast). As you feel like it, have a small amount of banana or applesauce or rice. Listen to your body. Follow until at least 12 hours after you feel well. I know of people who have been in hospital for food-poisoning problems and didn't get better until someone (from outside) put them on this diet. It's a great healer! Supplies all the electrolytes, yet is easy to digest. Hope you feel better soon! Guest guest
Hi Nora! Wishing you a speedy recovery! You could also try a little peppermint tea, (I let it cool well down first), and/or rubbing some oil with a mix of pepper- or spearmint and fennel essential oils in on your tummy and lower back. I often find this helps ease digestive distress. Water fasting is the best way and rest as much as you can. Hugs, Elisabeth=)
Guest guest
I understand everything but the banana. Banana's are mucus forming. Wouldn't that make matters worse? ~Wendy
