Guest guest
Before preparing the mock tuna and pecan pate' I need clarification on how to soak them. Can I soak the almonds, pecans, and seeds together for the mock tuna recipe since they will be processed together and should I soak them in the fridge or is it ok to sit them on the counter top while soaking? Does it matter what type of water I soak them in? Is tap water fine? Should they be completely covered in water? What is the purpose of soaking them? -Brian--- In , R Fells <n3vpu> wrote: > > Hello Brian, > > These recipes are sure to help you and anyone else on their way to raw alternatives. > > 1. Guest guest
Greetings Brian, As you begin to research the proper ways to prepare your food items you'll find a wide range of recommendations, so to get you started I would suggest soaking your almonds and most nuts either over night or 8-12 hours. As a rule of thumb your seeds only need 4 hours or less of soaking time or as instructed and you should soak them in glass containers. Cover them with a lid them and place them in the refrigerator. All nuts and seeds should be soaked in pure water and completely covered. Soaking them rehydrates them and allows the enzymes and nutrients to be released that were sealed when they were harvested. Guest guest
Greetings Brian, Pure water is also referred to as " distilled " water however, if you're using filtered water it is most definitely acceptable.
