All of a sudden I am having dry eyes. They itch and burn and the skin

right around the eye lid is dry as well as under my eye about ½ - 1

inch. I have ruled out my face cream and working to see if it may be my

eye make up or eye make up remover, neither of which is a new brand. I

was wondering if anyone else had experienced new allergic type reactions

to old products, or dry eyes???

I also wonder about my circulation….my arms fall asleep in the middle of

the night, and sometimes my legs do as well. (even if I’m not sleeping

on them funny!) My feet and hands stay cold. I think it is a

circulation thing…maybe poor circulation to hair follicles is part of my

hair problem as well???? Maybe poor circulation to my eyes is dry

eyes?!?!? Has anyone else experienced poor circulation?

I have also noticed my blood pressure rising….from a normal 100/60 for

YEARS to 114/76. I think I heard that that may be normal when going to

raw, but don’t remember why. Did anyone else hear that?

I am very active, I run, bike, swim and am vegetarian striving for raw

(11 days raw right now!!! :-)). Any input on any of the above questions

is appreciated.

When I say allergic reactions to old products, I don't mean the products

are old, I mean I haven't changed brands in YEARS, and have never ever

ever had any kind of reaction to that brand.

We have one vegetarian who is lactose intolerant but can enjoy yogurt and

dislikes soy milk, one omnivore who is lactose intolerant and hates yogurt but

drinks soy milk, one diabetic omnivore who has to restrict intake of meat and

fried foods, and four omnivores.  Relatives include more diabetics who follow

low fat diets, several people who keep kosher (and vegetarian dishes are allowed

without violation of the laws requiring meat and milk separation), and several

others with food allergies to beef, chicken, lamb, pork, soy, and wheat

products.  I think the hardest one to deal with is the gluten intolerance.

If anyone is allergic to mushrooms, I'm going to give up cooking!  People have

been well trained to eat ANY vegetable and to not fuss too much about tofu.

We tend to eat vegetarian until the omnivores are to the point of mutiny, then

have a meat dish along with two vegetables for the others.  We serve milk

(except to the first person above) at most meals and OJ for her.  Lunch makings

include cheese, peanut butter, hummus, and leftover beans for sandwiches.  We

are fairly upfront about things, and have been known to order a veggie pizza

with no cheese on top--the pizza places are aghast but comply--along with

several conventional ones.  We have had semi-veggie friends but no one who is

vegan.  Family had better be supportive--they are at least half of the problem

with Thanksgiving dinner!
