Greetings,

Wow, no replies to my post. I'm wondering now if maybe something I

said or the WAY that I said something didn't come across right?

I'm thinking that maybe some viewed it as me making a demand or

something to that effect? But that was not how I intended it to

come across although I realize maybe I did make it sound unnerving.

I'm not badgering anyone about why they haven't written a book or

did a video; it was just a general question about why there aren't

more of " us " with information available for purchase.

But I digress. Please allow me to rephrase - Do any of you who have

been at being RAW for a while now intend to make any webpages with

your transformation story and photos? Do any of you intend to write

a book or put together a video or anything like that?

It would just be refreshing to see more of our people in the

limelight of Raw foodism because many of our people need this

information and coming from someone who used to eat the BAD (Black

American Diet) but switched (successfully) to raw may prove more

motivational.

Thanks and sorry again if my previous email offended or came across

the wrong way. Could/would someone please respond so that I don't

feel like I'm posting in vain?

I remember a while ago, check the archives, something about soul food

and raw food transition. Maybe in those particular archives you will

find reference to some of what you are looking for.

BEV :)

Hold on Cherie, I'm working on a reply to you right now. Not a

problem, just needed time to research.

Greetings Cherie,

This is what I've been able to find for you. Hopfully, someone else

will have more to add.

Let's get some of your questions answered.

*******************************************************************

But I digress. Please allow me to rephrase - Do any of you who have

been at being RAW for a while now intend to make any webpages with

your transformation story and photos? Do any of you intend to write

a book or put together a video or anything like that?

******You'll find just a little of our success story about

transitioning to raw in archived message #3. Ron and I transitioned

from (what was left of the " BAD " ) and the " SAD " in 1/02 then

transitioned to raw in 12/02. We have been raw for approximately 16

months now. At this writing we don't intend to establish a webpage.

This support group is all that I can muster for the time being.

Before and after photos are forth coming and a book is on the back

burner that's been covered for a while (smile).

As for the coaches, authors and other raw fooders of color, my

research to date has resulted in those listed in archived message

#109. Yesterday I remembered in addition to the list, Dr. Afika

found at www.geocities.com/afrika7_2000. Annette Larkin has two

books found at her website, Aris La Tham has a book called Sunfired

Foods and to my knowledge is out of print. Ron Seaborn has a book

called " The Children's Health Food Book " that is really excellent and

would be great reading for you and your family. The only places I

know that may have his book in stock are www.supernaturallife.com and

www.everlastinglife.net (I've checked amazon and most of the major

book chains but to no avail.), and last but not least, Lynda Carter

owner of www.aliveandraw.com is in the mist of writing a book.******

Hope this helps. We're always researching so look for updates.

Good Health to You

Elaine
