Hello Everyone,

I need your help. Do I need a Champion Juicer and a Vita Mix?

Also, I looked up the cost of the Vita Mix 4500, 5000, and Commerical. It seems

that the dry mix container is an extra attachment for the 4500 and is included

in the 5000 and Commerical. And, the difference between the 5000 and the

Commerical may be the power. The cheapest price I've seen for the 4500 is $319,

the 5000 is $479, and the Commerical $419.

A vita mix is nice, but I've never gotten one. I use my juicer, blender

and food processor.

I toyed and toyed over and over with the idea of getting a Vitamix.

I settled for a LeQuip blender and I'm very satisfied with it.

I also own a juicer but I'm looking into one that is masticating.

I'm thinking of getting the same model (LeQuip) in the Visor which

may be just as good as a Champion or at least it will serve the

purpose I need it to serve.

Hi Denise,

Because each of these pieces of equipment are very good investments and will

provide you with a variety of functions you'll have to decide what your needs

are and which one to purchase. You may even decide to purchase both. In my

opinion, I would say yes to both however, some people have managed without both.

They can be very expensive also.

You are very fortunate to have knowledge of a group such as this to provide you

with informative dialogue, unlike Ron and myself, when I used the word " cold

turkey " I mean it in every sense. We didn't know about support groups, but we

knew that we had to establish a raw kitchen. Some equipment is easy to use and

clean up, others make you not want to use them at all.

I won't bore you with those items that used US as guinea pigs, rather what we

have to date that became necessary.

Champion Juicer

Jack LaLaine Juicer

2 Wheatgrass Juicers

Vita Mix - 5000 (Our choice because of the variable HI and LOW speed)

Food Processor

9 Tray Dehydrator

An old round 4 tray Dehydrator found in a Thirft Store (because it was $5 )

Electric Juicer

Large and small Salad Spinners

2 Saladacos

Sprouting Jars and Bags

Glass Storage Containers

Garlic Presser

Fruit Baskets (wire and mesh for ventilation)

Coffee Grinder

All of these things one at a time over a two year period.

Slicer (purchased during our meat eating days, ooops, did I say meat? )

Hope this is helpful.

Good Health to You

Elaine
