Guest guest
Hi Karen, At Linda's potluck a couple weeks ago we heard rumors about David Wolfe coming to town. Can you give us some more info? Have you decided on cost, times and location? Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Howdy, Mark your calendars! Yes, David will be here in Seattle on June 13, 14 & 15 to discuss his new book Eating For Beauty . On Thursday he'll be at PCC Greenlake from 12-2; this is a free talk. On Friday night, he'll be at Unity Church for an all-out raw gala and gourmet Live dinner. On Saturday, at the same location he'll be giving a workshop and lecture. I'll be doing a food demo and serving lunch and dessert. There will be a yoga session, massage and meditation on Saturday to break things up and set the tone. Nature's First Law is setting the prices; there will be a package deal price for those who want to come to both events! www.sunraw.com will have up-to-the-minute info on these events, as Im sure will the rawseattle site. I'd love to have some people from Raw Seattle form a panel and have a table set up at these events. This would be an invaluable opportunity to continue to build the communityand offer a local resource for those who are new to raw and living foods. Please contact me by May 1 if you're interested, and please state the level of responsibility you could committ to. I'm going to Arizona and will not be very 'contactable', so if you email me it may take several days to get a reponse. Enjoy the Seattle spring for me! Guest guest
Hey Mark, this might be a good time for us to bring up the famous live foodist issue. What do you say? Lynda

Guest guest
Yes I do think it is a good time. I would like to focus on acknowledging these mant trailblazers and accept some others choices not to and like my dad said " take what you can use and leave the rest on the shelf. Although i will freely voice my views I am not under the beliefs that my views are right just my views. I'd like for you to suggest a format that would be inclusive to all, (technique is not my strong point, lol) peace, Mark
Guest guest
Mark; I am not so sure I understand. You pointed out the fact. The subject matter is the lack of any black raw foodist on the site. We can name many. Dick Gregory, High Priest K , Aris, Art, Karma, Karen in Chicago, Larkin, Lillian, Matt our own live family here house so many the list goes on and so many more. John K put up the site and man's it I'm sure he could adjust it by adding folks. Look at Rhio's sitewww.rawfoodinfo.com If you want to talk about another subject give me a heads up. If any one disagrees let me know. Lynda
Guest guest
I like that idea. I posed the question to David on Sunyetta's show a couple of months ago and felt the issue was skirted around an to this point found no evidence of it being addressed. Adding people of color to David's site is a fair thing to do like many others do freely out of genuine appreciation of all cultures. It will not change his core beliefs whatever they may be. I don't find these ommittions wrong, just in viewing the many sites (Rhio's is a regular) and reading literature and going to seminars I've experienced so much inclusiveness of different cultures and not just when their was financial gain. I appreciate you efforts at maintaing stability and peace in the group as well as your insightful ideas and suggestions. Mark
Guest guest
Mark, much love back at you. Hopefully we will get to meet soon. Well since this issue has not been taken up seriously before ;we can revisit David with this idea. In fact Linda made a good suggestion in her note. Peace ,Lynda
