Guest guest
Sorry for the poor transmission of the message about the movie. I thought that the film would serve as information and motivation for any of us who are transitioning from cooked to raw foods, as well as others who we care about that could stand to benefit from seeing it. In Super Size Me, a scathingly tongue-in-cheek documentary of epic " portions, " ?lmmaker Morgan Spurlock does just that and embarks on the most perilous journey of his life. The rules: For 30 days he can't eat or drink anything that isn't on the McDonald's menu; he must eat three meals a day; he must consume everything on the menu at least once; and he must super size his meals if asked. Spurlock treks across the country interviewing a host of experts on fast food and an equal number of regular folk while chowing down at the Golden ArchesT. This enthralling ?lm reveals that McDonald's spends 1.4 billion dollars a year on advertising. What they don't do is return calls from pestering ? lmmakers. Spurlock's grueling drive-through diet spirals him into a harrowing physical and emotional metamorphosis that will make you think twice about picking up another Big MacT. A fascinating and truly alarming ?lm peppered with irreverent music and hilarious graphics, Super Size Me chomps into the legal, ?nancial, and physical costs of America's hunger for fast food. -David Courier, 2004 Sundance Film Festival > > Followed by a party with live band and dancing, featuring Jose Finn Entertainer and Vintage Vocal Group in a Motown Stage Revue, Kili's Kafe and Lounge, $15.00. > > Closing night sponsor: D.C. I'm really interested in seeing it but I don't think I can take the time to drive to D.C because it is cram time in school for me right now.......tests to study for and papers to write.. Is there any other way I may be able to see it?
Guest guest
Hi Oceanbeach, The film has a website: www.supersizeme.com. However, they don't list film showing dates. It seems to be a very popular film, so I'd keep checking the newspapers. It'll probably end up in one of the alternative movie theatres, such as Besthesda Row (in Bethesda ;o)). Hope you get to see it. Peace , oceanbeach23@a... wrote: > Is this the only way that someone can see the film?
