Guest guest
Peace and Blessings, I am sorry to hear about your teeth. It seems as if it is so difficult to keep them the way we received them in this day and age. I have found that I got much better results and feelings out of my teeth as well when I stopped using conventional toothpastes. I think Dick Gregory did it for me when he said, "why would I want to put anything in my mouth that has a warning label telling you not swallow it? It's going in my mouth! How am I not supposed to swallow it? About Tom's, they have some recipes with glycerin and some without. However, I would suggest not using their products because they contain sodium lauryl sulfate(SLS) which is a non-biodegradable detergent that acts as a neurotoxin when ingested or assimilated (see:absorbed) through external use. (I know it seems as if everything is off limits.) Try Weleda's line of dental products. We really like them and they seem to work well. They have a calendula formula for that extra healing touch and a children's tooth gel that our son loves. And they best part is...if he swallows it, he won't die from flouride poisoning! The cavaties are between the teeth!? My neighbor told me that what you put on the toothbrush is the most important. Guest guest
Hello Raw Soul: I mentioned the other day that I also had trouble with my teeth and gums. I went to a holistic dentist who helped me to save my teeth. I had to weigh the cost of the treatment and 4 hour drive each way, once monthly. This particular holistic dentist is a biologic dentist, which means that with each visit, he had a process where he took a slide of the saliva in my mouth and looked at the amount of bacteria that had either accumulated or decreased since my last visit, by projecting the slide of the saliva on a television screen. He also did used an antibiotic throughout my mouth before he actually did any work, used oxygen, and often bragged about having his original teeth at age 87! Because I had been to the periodontist who wanted to remove all of my teeth (!), I did and continue to follow the program of the holistic dentist, even though there are some things on the program I typically wouldn't have used. The program includes brushing/flossing after every meal, especially before bed, using a HyrdoFloss machine (like the Waterpik, but it can get into gum pockets a little better), using listerine, hydrogen perioxide, baking soda, and a toothpaste with baking soda/hydrogen perioxide. The dentist also recommended that I use a mouthwash, and toothpaste distributed by Dental Herb Company. I will list the ingredients of this mouthwash. I haven't received all of my e-mails this week from because something is going on with my computer, as I didn't read the e-mail about problems with glycerine. Glycerine is the first ingredient in the mouthwash, echinacea augustofolia, echinacea purpurea, gotu kola, essential oils of peppermint, red thyme, cinnamon bard, eucalyptus globulus, and lavender. You can look under Dental Herb.com and I believe you will find information about the mouthwash and toothpaste. Once I looked under Dental Herb and there was also another company out of NYC. The previous company is in Boca Raton, FL The website for the other dental product out of NYC is theherbaldifference.com There is a dental powder, oral rinse, and herbal capsules designed to address gingivitis and periodontal disease. The formulas are herbal, I didn't notice any glycerine last time I looked at the ingredients. There is a 3 part system designed to remove viral, bacteria, parasites and fungus...The last stage is used to maintain health. Their belief is that gum disease and excessive cavities are often caused by parasites, fungi, etc. I haven't used this product yet, but it is on my list of health products to purchase. I did call the office at 212-973-9425 to ask about the herbal ingredients, and the office staff and dentist were very helpful....Blessings....Ashtarra
