Guest guest
Hey Elaine, If you are doing 100% high moisture foods then you will have all the water you need. The high moisture foods start with the young coconut that has no jelly. This is the highest electric food on the planet. Second are the melons, then citrus, sub acid, and then protein fruits which have very little moisture or water content. Green leafy vegetables are the electro-magnetic food but when you juice them you make them purely electric by removing the fiber or the magnetic part of the food. The reason the FDA require you drink 8 glasses of water is because they are also recommending breads and cooked starches which have to be broken down to liquid form for our bodies to get any value out of it. Other thing I’ll mention in regards to coconut water is that my daughter loves coconut water but won’t drink bottled dead water. Even when we mix a little dead water with the breast milk she won’t drink that either. My older nieces and nephews also love coconut water and the jelly as well. During Aris’s presentation he said that if you put a tomato, a green leaf vegetable and a piece of chicken next to each other a child who hasn’t been perverted will always go for the tomato because children understand that out of those 3, the tomato is highest in moisture and they always go for the color red. 10 minutes later 14 month old Samaya walked by the table and grabbed the tomato! Lastly, it’s been amazing that I’ve been on coconut water for almost a week and I feel like I’ve been eating food the whole time. Actually I feel so revitalized I may go as long as a month or longer. I’ve fasted for as long as 27 days on fruit and vegetable juices along with dead water and I felt weak and drained pretty much the whole time. There were high moments but how I feel now there is absolutely no comparison. Of course back then I was just starting raw but I’ve fasted recently on dead water and I almost felt dead. Those are my thoughts. Health and Wealth, Khepere khepere 888-VEG-SOUL E. Rice-Fells [shortydemp] Thursday, October 21, 2004 12:51 PM Re: the MIRACLE of Coconut Water Greetings Khepere, Welcome back. From all of the buzz going around I know your trip was fantastic! Now about the water. Your point is well taken and by the same token does that mean that you agree with the FDA's revised daily food chart recommending 9 a day of F & V's? Do you believe that 9 a day will supply us with the amount of water required? OR, should we all practice as I do in paying attention to your body's water retention? The way I test myself is by the ease of slipping my wedding band on and off my finger each morning. If it slips off with ease I'm fully hydrated, if not, my system is stagnated. Second, my ankles will swell if proper flushing and hydration is not at MY body's required level. I am one who has a water delivery each month but must admit that since going raw over two years now, I probably consume about a quarter of the amount that I did prior to and for some reason am constantly on a guilt trip. I use it for most everything in food prep. So much for brain washing, it takes a while to undo what's been taught for so many years. I do however, take in as much F & V's and coconut water as possible. Give me your thoughts Khepere Anu <tradershogun wrote: Im now on the 6th day of 100% COCONUT WATER and I feel super fantastic. Guest guest
Thanks for the info Khepere. When I have a heavy workloud/ maybe 6-8 hrs of continious sanding of floors I drink coconut water or coconut water w/green powder and my energy is consistantly high also when I come back from traveling a day or two of just coconut water or green juices aids in adjusting back to our more toxic enviornment. I read a while back that squeezing some lemon juice in water (filtered or distilled) or putting it in the sun can revitalize it? When I was in Honduras I heard about a disease that destroyed most of the green colored coconuts, but did not harm the orange/yellow ones. Any info on this is appreciated. I do prefer the green for energy and taste and the orange seems more cleansing to me. Mark
Guest guest
Ok Khepere, Very good analysis. But please tell me what coconut you're speaking of that's young and doesn't have jelly? I've only known of two types of coconuts in my life. My annual extended fast is coming up soon and I'd like to try the coconut water this time rather than distilled. Guest guest
All young coconuts have varying degrees of jelly. The more jelly and the harder it is the more mature it is and water is even different in those coconuts. When the coconut is very young there is no jelly formed and the water is the most electric and the most cleansing water you can find in nature. Also, the younger the coconut, the softer the shell and also the easier it is to get open. As far as getting a mass amount of young coconuts, there are wholesalers around town, just that I haven’t found them yet. If you have any luck locating a supplier let me know. I will do the same. I definitely would not recommend doing the thai coconuts with the plastic wrapping. The green or orange shell must be intact. The other option, which is what I have been doing over the last week, is buying the bottled version of coconut water which I find at the Caribbean market on New Hampshire Ave in Maryland. This is probably the most expensive way but it is convenient. The company is Spring Garden Coconut Water out of Jamaica. They bottle it, freeze it and ship it to the states. Since the company is out of Jamaica I asked Aris about them and he said it was legit. There is another company that I discovered at the Natural Expo called VitaCoco which gets its coconut water from Brazil, but they flash pasteurize it, which entails that it is heated for a second at 100 degrees. It could be legit, I don’t know. They say it has a shelf life of 10 months which doesn’t sound that kosher to me. Mark, great questions which I don’t have the answer to now, I will run them by Aris and report the answer on the group. Health and Wealth, Khepere E.
