I'd need at least 20 to make it happen, so I haven't contacted them about it at this point. :-( wish there was more interest. Guest guest Posted November 3, 2004 Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 Nancy originally put feelers out to see if there would be interest in Doug Graham and Roz Gruben coming in December to do a talk on Weight Management through raw foods. There is nothing scheduled yet, just an initial poll of sorts to see if there is enough interest to warrant inviting them to speak. They are both raw foodists for a combined total of 38 years (I think ~ maybe more!). From what I recall in going to their workshop and corresponding through e-mails, they are very natural and eat as close to nature as possible…..typical meals are mono meals, from my understanding. They are both the picture of health inside and out ~ form my experience with them. They add a level of science to their talks that explains WHY it is best to eat raw based on what chemically happens in the body when you don’t. I found them FABULOUS at explaining the how’s and whys of raw food from a biochemical standpoint as well as spiritual and environmental levels. For some reason, Dr. Graham can sometimes come across as a little abrasive to some, however, his message is very powerful. Prof. Gruben is always like a nurturing, loving angel spreading the message for all. I really hope they can come, as a team they are very motivating, educational and inspirational. I think they would also be open to a Question and Answer session during their talk, which opens the floor for many topics.
