What would you suggest? I have been vegan for a few months now. I eat lots

of fruit, veggies and nuts, coconut & periodic ovacado. I am finding my

skin looking leathery. I drink water, but maybe not 1/2 my body weight in

ounces/day. Is that the only factor to getting better skin? Karen

Karen!

Don't forget your EFA's. 2 tablespoons of flax seed ground into flax meal or

hemp seeds!

My mother who is 63 and has beautiful skin has always put almond oil on her

skin after a shower. It has a distinct smell which you may or may not

like, but edgar casey ~ I think, said it is good stuff. Also, OVER exposure

to the sun can cause leathery skin regardless of the diet. Though the sun

is extremely important for Vitamin D (and energy ~ love the sun!) be sure to

cover up once you've gotten your daily dose! Consuming oils ~ Avocado,

nuts, seeds, coconut should be helping from the inside, as well. But I

think water is key ~ and try a skin brush to help your body get rid of the

dead skin. They say every 7 years all of the cells in your body are

replaced, the dry leathery skin may be a result of your previous

diet/lifestyle as opposed to the switch to vegan. Did you have dry leathery

skin before, as well?

Good luck and best of health!

BEV :)
