Guest guest
Good evening, I was talking to a new friend, a psycotherapist from Germany who is here on a professional exchange program. I've mostly been helping with bike stuff but today we started talking about cancer. She had read Lance Armstrong's book (Every Second Counts) because she was interested in how he " cured " his cancer because she has several friends with cancer. I told her what I know (basically that we don't need a cure if we stop taking the cause). This sounded heretical to her, even though as a medical professional she shuns drugs. I'm not certain how much of it got through (her English is not yet perfect) but I hope she heard some of it and takes it back to Germany. I went to the Google News site and put his name in, and there are several articles about him. (Thanks Nick.) I was watching Dr. Phil last night. The topic was finding an alternative to drugging children for ADD (which the child and parent did not want, but the pressure was coming from the school teacher), and the authority on the show with Dr. Phil uses kinesiology to determine what the child should and should not eat. He mentioned that the rawer the food, the better it is metabolised by the brain. The person representing the teaches said they have so many children and needs to meet, they just want the disorder under control. I do hope that the alternatives are getting out there for those in this situation so parents don't feel obligated to drug their children because the school is pressuring them to. People have grown up with the mindset that to treat something, you eliminate the symptom by taking a drug or a pill. The proper question to ask yourself is, " What is causing the symptom and what can I do to remove the cause " instead of " What can I do to remove the symptom? Guest guest
I don’t know if you will be able to access this link from my e-mail, but from today’s MSN homepage, you can to the FINE LIVING NETWORK which features “Back to the Basics” and an interview w/ raw food chef Lesa Carlson. Nothing most of us haven’t seen before, but I thought it was neat that it is making the mainstream w/ such a positive light. (There was even a little belly dancing in the clip). http://video.msn.com/video/p.htm?m=Home%20and%20Living & mi=Fine%20Living & i=ae9bf8c7-9998-4908-937c-924faeb8d4ea,e1f71884-0d2e-47c3-b53c-5605fb923159,3c4762f1-8a64-4517-9761-df34e33ad7ae & p=Living_Fine%20Living & GT1=6473 & rf=http://dellnet.msn.com/ BEV
