Guest guest
Well, this isn't what to put ON your skin, but... I've heard that consuming lots & lots of beta carotene makes your skin more tolerant of sun. Guest guest
http://66.194.238.158/~houseof/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=56 There is more info here about sun, as well as some sunscreen recipies, most are pretty natural. Guest guest
I have found just bare skin to be the best, w/out overdoing it. The morning sun while still good for tanning is less direct and more toleratable. I've not had any problems in the carribs, central and south america and I'm out a good percentage of the time but mainly mornings and eve in the indirect sun. If it feels hot to you then it's time to get some shade. The oils ie/coconut do give a great tan although it is because your skin is cooking in the oil. Just like frying meat in oil. Does anyone know what is best to wear on the skin while outdoors? My fiance' and I are getting married next week in Tobago, so we'll be spending a lot of time in the sun. (I received a sunburn once before when I mistakenly neglected to apply sunscreen to my shoulders, so I want to be sure I'm protected.) Thanks! Guest guest
It is true that you may get tanned using coconut oil. The fact is, it is a naturally result, getting tanned, if you are the summer sun. I reinterate, coconut oil is the best protection I have found. I play tennis in the middle of the day during the summer and coconut oil protects me, makes me feel cooler, and I get darker (I love it). Give it a try before you judge it!
